Obama’s Pipe Dream

Thursday, March 22, 2012

President Obama has said it many times, “There is no silver bullet to magically bring down gas prices”. Despite that definitive statement, Obama is expending a lot of energy, talking about energy. By my count well over ten speeches so far.

The White House and the Obama reelection campaign are plenty worried about the price at the pump. On inauguration day it was $1.81 a gallon and today the price has doubled to $3.87. Obama was quick to kill the Keystone XL pipeline in January and even pressured Democrat Senators to vote down a recent Keystone pipeline bill in early March.

On Wednesday, the president was at a New Mexico oil field bragging for the umpteenth time, “Under my administration, America is producing more oil today than at any time in the last eight years.”

President Obama pretending to like oil for election purposes

Today, he was in Cushing, Oklahoma, speaking in front of a stack of pipes to exclaim that he was giving his royal assent to the southern leg of the Keystone pipeline. “And today, I’m directing my administration to cut through the red tape, break through the bureaucratic hurdles, and make this project a priority, to go ahead and get it done.”

What a sniveling lying snake this man is. The fact is, that this leg of the pipeline is under control of the states of Oklahoma and Texas. The federal government and specifically the White House has nothing to do with it.

And now onto Obama’s bullshit, “So if you guys are talking to your friends, your neighbors, your coworkers, your aunts or uncles and they’re wondering what’s going on in terms of oil production, you just tell them anybody who suggests that somehow we’re suppressing domestic oil production isn’t paying attention.  They are not paying attention.”

Oil production is up on private and state owned land, but permitting has virtually stopped on federal lands. The Institute for Energy Research states:

“President Obama cannot honestly claim credit for the increase in oil and natural gas production over the past [and] misconstrues the facts, and is an inaccurate portrayal of his administration’s record on energy issues. After all, his administration did not hold a single offshore lease sale in fiscal year 2011, while the Bush administration planned to hold five. Those sales were rejected when the [Obama] administration decided not to pursue a new 2010–2015 OCS lease plan reflecting the expiration of the presidential and congressional moratoriums on leasing in 2008. Also, President Obama’s Bureau of Land Management is setting records for the least amount of leases on average per year. President Clinton sold over twice the number of leases per year than President Obama.”

Nick Snow of the Oil and Gas Journal quotes the American Petroleum Institute Pres. Jack N. Gerard, “Since taking office, he has declared 85% of our offshore areas off limits, decreased oil and gas leases in the Rockies by 70%, rejected the Keystone XL pipeline, and has 10 federal agencies planning more regulation of hydraulic fracturing…. The president’s ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ approach to energy security is hurting consumers.”

I found some more interesting facts on Obama’s war on oil from a blog by “Ghost32”. He tracked the West Texas spot oil prices on a barrel of oil from Bush 41 through Obama.

In January ’89, it was $18/barrel. In 1993 when Bill Clinton took over it was $19.10/barrel. It went up by 56% to $29.60 when Bush 43 became president and rose another 41% to $41.70/barrel when Obama took over in 2009. By March 20th, 2012 it was $105.68/barrel or a 253% increase in slightly over three years.

In full campaign mode, Obama will give one hour to a photo op on his great oil pipeline plans but then demagogue the need to drill for it.

“Even if we opened every inch of the country — if I put a oil rig on the South Lawn — (laughter) — if we had one right next to the Washington Monument, even if we drilled every little bit of this great country of ours, we’d still have to buy the rest of our needs from someplace else if we keep on using the same amount of energy, the same amount of oil.”

In every speech on the rising cost of oil, Obama triples down on his real agenda, “That means producing more biofuels, which can be great for our farmers and great for rural economies.  It means more fuel-efficient cars.  It means more solar power.  It means more wind power — which, by the way, nearly tripled here in Oklahoma over the past three years in part because of some of our policies. We want every source of American-made energy.  I don’t want the energy jobs of tomorrow going to other countries.  I want them here in the United States of America. And that’s what an all-of-the-above strategy is all about.  That’s how we break our dependence on foreign oil.”

In Obama’s next stop in Columbus, Ohio, he continued his folly, “Now, this is our last stop on a trip where we’ve been talking about an all-of-the-above energy strategy for America — a strategy where we produce more oil, produce more gas, but also produce more American biofuels and more fuel-efficient cars, more solar power, more wind power, more power from the oceans, more clean and renewable energy. More clean and renewable energy.”

To Barack Obama, oil is vile, it’s dirty, it’s a free market commodity and he hates that. Obama wants to regulate it out of existence and replace it with technology that is still on the drawing board and 20 years in the future.

Meanwhile petroleum is used in the manufacture of over 6000 items. What can a windmill, a solar panel, or an ocean manufacture besides a few watts of electricity.

President Obama can’t get his head out of his ass. He continues to stumble and stutter his way through his presidency and the only pipe he really understands is the one filled with crack.

Obama’s Latest Energy Speech Runs Out Of Gas

Thursday, March 15, 2012

President Obama made a campaign stop, disguised as (another) important energy policy speech just 20 miles or so from the White House at Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland.

“A lot of the folks who are running for a certain office who shall go unnamed, they’ve been talking down new sources of energy,” “They dismiss wind power. They dismiss solar power. They make jokes about biofuels. They were against raising fuel standards. I guess they like gas-guzzlers,” he said. “If some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail, they probably must have been founding members of the flat earth society. They would not believe that the world was round.”

The President made the trip in a 22 car motorcade and burned more fuel in this campaign stop than most of us buy in a year. Barack Obama must think we are idiots or we love him so much as President, we believe all the bullshit he keeps feeding us.

President Obama shows the crowd that there is nothing up his sleeves. (Larry Downing/Reuters)

We look to our President to inspire us to greatness, to lift our hearts in troubled times and make us proud to live in the greatest nation on earth.  Presidents such as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, to name a few, have stirred us to believe in this nation and shed blood to protect the flag.

Sadly, President Obama can only ridicule, divide, and demean as he selfishly and desperately holds on to the presidency.

As prices at the pump keep rising, President Obama had the audacity to spout this, “We passed the payroll tax at the beginning of this year to make sure that everybody had an extra $40 in their paycheck, on average — (applause) — in part because we anticipated that gas prices might be going up like they did last year, given tight world oil supplies.”

Obama continued his derision, “So do not tell me that we’re not drilling. (Applause.) We’re drilling all over this country. (Applause.) I guess there are a few spots where we’re not drilling. We’re not drilling in the National Mall. (Laughter.) We’re not drilling at your house. (Laughter.) I guess we could try to have, like, 200 oil rigs in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay. “If you start hearing this “drill, baby, drill; drill, drill, drill” — if you start hearing that again, just remember you’ve got the facts — we’re doing that. Tell me something new. (Applause.) That’s problem number one.”

“Here’s the second problem with what some of these politicians are talking about. There’s a problem with a strategy that only relies on drilling and that is, America uses more than 20 percent of the world’s oil. If we drilled every square inch of this country — so we went to your house and we went to the National Mall and we put up those rigs everywhere — we’d still have only 2 percent of the world’s known oil reserves. Let’s say we miss something — maybe it’s 3 percent instead of 2. We’re using 20; we have 2.”

John Merline of Investor’s Business Daily, disputes Obama’s rhetoric saying there is 60 times more energy than the President claims.

“When you look at the whole picture, it turns out that there are vast supplies of oil in the U.S., according to various government reports. Among them:

  • At least 86 billion barrels of oil in the Outer Continental Shelf yet to be discovered, according to the government’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.
  • About 24 billion barrels in shale deposits in the lower 48 states, according to EIA.
  • Up to 2 billion barrels of oil in shale deposits in Alaska’s North Slope, says the U.S. Geological Survey.
  • Up to 12 billion barrels in ANWR, according to the USGS.
  • As much as 19 billion barrels in the Utah tar sands, according to the Bureau of Land Management.
  • Then, there’s the massive Green River Formation in Wyoming, which according to the USGS contains a stunning 1.4 trillion barrels of oil shale — a type of oil released from sedimentary rock after it’s heated.”

“A separate Rand Corp. study found that about 800 billion barrels of oil shale in Wyoming and neighboring states is “technically recoverable,” which means it could be extracted using existing technology. That’s more than triple the known reserves in Saudi Arabia.
All told, the U.S. has access to 400 billion barrels of crude that could be recovered using existing drilling technologies, according to a 2006 Energy Department report.
When you include oil shale, the U.S. has 1.4 trillion barrels of technically recoverable oil, according to the Institute for Energy Research, enough to meet all U.S. oil needs for about the next 200 years, without any imports.”

Meanwhile in Largo, Maryland, President Obama pushed on, “Even if we drilled every inch of America, that won’t bring gas prices down tomorrow. But if we’re tired of watching gas prices spike every single year, and being caught in this position, where what happens in the Middle East ends up taking money out of your pocket, if we want to stabilize energy prices for the long term and the medium term, if we want America to grow, we’re going to have look past what we’ve been doing and put ourselves on the path to a real, sustainable energy future.”

This president cannot be re-elected, we have suffered enough under this statist. To Barack Obama, the government is supreme and it must control every aspect of our lives.

Mark Levin, in his newest book, “Ameritopia” explains it this way, “Tyranny, broadly defined, is the use of power to dehumanize the individual and delegitimize his nature. Political utopianism is tyranny disguised as a desirable, workable, and even paradisiacal governing ideology.”

Barack Obama thinks nothing of you, but only how you can serve him in his march towards the destruction of everything you love about this country. We must defeat him and his ilk this November!

Obama Ignores Economy Because of a Fluke

Friday, March 2, 2012

President Obama attended three fundraisers in New York city yesterday, making it a record 100 since arriving in the White House. That’s an average of one fundraiser every 11 days since taking the oath of office. On the stump, Obama will keep saying he’s focused like a laser beam on the economy. In reality he is only focused on his re-election.

Economy, what economy? It's raining campaign dollars.

In his most audacious attempt to avoid responsibility for high gas prices, record home foreclosures, unemployment and a stagnant economy, Barack Obama and his proxies have focused like a laser beam on contraception.

This carefully orchestrated campaign strategy was first introduced by George Stephanopoulos in New Hampshire, at the ABC News hosted Republican Debate on January 7th. Stephanopoulos asked Romney if he believed, “that states have the right to ban contraception, or is that trumped by a constitutional right to privacy?”

There has been some form of birth control available in the United States since 1840, when the condom was introduced. This was hardly the topic of conversation in the public square on January 7th, but it certainly is now.

The Stephanopoulos question was merely a trial balloon until it roiled over a month later when HHS Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius announced a new ObamaCare edict on birth control for all. That was then walked back and called an “accommodation” to appease the Catholic Church over the right of religious freedom.

The din has not died down and has effectively put the Republican party, their presidential hopefuls and religious institutions into a polarizing political battle with the left and President Obama in this crucial election year.

What do you think is the most important conversation today around the dinner table; obtaining birth control pills or whether they can afford groceries or gasoline? Of course It’s the economy, stupid!

To the White House, President Obama and his campaign it’s standard Saul Alinsky; Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it.

The “target” was picked on January 7th. It was “frozen” on February 10th with the so called religious “accommodation”. It was “personalized” on February 23rd with the testimony of third year Georgetown Jesuit School Law student, Sandra Fluke and the “polarization” has been non stop.

Before an unofficial committee, chaired by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Ms. Fluke stated “Without insurance coverage, contraception can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school. For a lot of students who, like me, are on public interest scholarships, that’s practically an entire summer’s salary. Forty percent of female students at Georgetown Law report struggling financially as a result of this policy.” (full text here)

So at Georgetown, the dinner conversation is focused on the “high” cost of birth control rather than the horrible job prospects when these students graduate. Fluke’s testimony was the nuclear option to make contraception or really the right for government paid birth control, the only topic in the news, talk radio and the 2012 Presidential campaign.

Fueled by Rush Limbaugh, Sandra Fluke has become the new spokesperson on “Reproductive Rights” and woman’s freedom, or as Michelle Malkin calls her, a “femme-agogue tool”.

Meanwhile the economy is going no where, but our flake of a president was on the phone to give solace to Sandra Fluke.

“He encouraged me and supported me and thanked me for speaking out about the concerns of American women,” she told MSNBC. “What was really personal for me was he said to tell my parents that they should be proud.”

Fluke’s parents were very proud when Sandra got accepted to Georgetown. On her first day, Fluke had full knowledge of Georgetown Jesuit school’s strict religious doctrine against all forms of birth control. Ms. Fluke accepted this with the intention of overturning it. They must have been even prouder when she became the president of Georgetown Law Students for Reproductive Justice.

So when one Alinsky community organizer, Barack Obama, speaks to another Alinsky community organizer, Sandra Fluke; they practically complete each other sentences.

Meanwhile, the economy is burning, America is in peril, the citizens are suffering and President Obama isn’t doing a damn thing about it, except campaigning.

Obama Will Solve High Gas Prices With Algae

Thursday, February 23, 2012

There he was once more making a campaign speech, advertised as an important “Policy Speech on Energy”, before another crowd of dumb university students. This was a political stunt to off set the real reason Obama was in Miami, Florida; attending three high-dollar fundraisers: one at the swank Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, another at the Pinecrest home of a top Democratic fundraiser and a third at the Orlando home of basketball star Vince Carter.

Obama, all smiles as he tours Solyndra, which declared bankruptcy months later

Average gas prices in Florida range from $4 to as high as $6 a gallon. The unemployment rate in Florida is 9.9% and above the national average. Do you think Obama gives a damn about this?

In his speech at the University of Miami, Obama insisted that high gas prices means he will double down on his failed Green Energy policies. Barack feels that all his crony boondoggle loans and paybacks needs another four years, because he has not failed enough.

President Obama’s solution to this crisis; Algae. That’s right, “we’re making new investments in the development of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel that’s actually made from a plant-like substance known as algae. Believe it or not, we could replace up to 17% of the oil we import for transportation with this fuel that we can grow right here in America. That means greater security. That means lower costs. That means more jobs.”

Obama has been pushing for solar, wind and bio-fuel substitutes since 2007. What is shocking is how vested he is in alternatives that barely make up 8% of energy consumption and cost us hundreds of billions to get off the ground.

Algae, he says? In 2007, Popular Science magazine touted Solix CEO Doug Henston and his plan to create vegetable oil from algae and turn it into bio-fuel. However, these claims remain unrealized, commercially. According to the head of the Algal Biomass Organization algae fuel can reach price parity with oil in 2018 if granted production tax credits.

Obama once again slammed the oil industry over their tax subsidies. The latest information I could find was for F2006 where the federal subsidy to the oil industry was $3.5 billion out of the total of $13.6 billion for all energy subsidies.

In return the oil industry paid the US Treasury $37 billion in corporate income taxes in 2006. The feds also charge excise taxes of 18.4 cents a gallon on gasoline and 54 cents per gallon of Diesel fuel sold. The return on this subsidy is enormously profitable.

The most left leaning president in United States history cannot help himself. Only a few days into the White House, President Obama touted his energy policy this way,  “a comprehensive plan to invest in alternative and renewable energy, end our addiction to foreign oil, address the global climate crisis and create millions of new jobs”  The score on all this is Zero.

In March of 2011, at Georgetown University, Obama launched his “Blueprint for A Secure Energy Future” saying, “But here’s the thing – we’ve been down this road before.  Remember, it was just three years ago that gas prices topped $4 a gallon.  Working folks haven’t forgotten that.  It hit a lot of people pretty hard.  But it was also the height of political season, so you had a lot of slogans and gimmicks and outraged politicians waving three-point-plans for two-dollar gas – when none of it would really do anything to solve the problem.  Imagine that in Washington.”

Today, at the University of Florida, “You pay more, and they’re licking their chops? And you can bet that since it’s an election year, they’re already dusting off their three-point plans for $2 gas. I’ll save you the suspense: Step one is drill, step two is drill, and step three is keep drilling. We heard the same thing in 2007, when I was running for President. We hear the same thing every year. We’ve heard the same thing for thirty years.”

No solutions offered like opening up federal lands or offshore drilling, shale-oil exploration or the Keystone XL pipeline. Nope, nothing, just more demagoguery.

The only truth spoken in all this election rhetoric by Barack Obama was, Well the American people aren’t stupid.”

We’ve elected a child, a fat-headed, self aggrandizing nothing to lead us to what exactly? We aren’t that stupid to fall for his divide and conquer, “failed America”, you are “the-not-good-enough” ride over the cliff in 2012.

As an update I am linking to an article in Investors Business Daily, 5 Biggest Whoppers In Obama’s Energy Speech.

Obama Now Wants To Be A “Good Two Term President”

Thursday, January 12, 2012

The worst U.S. President ever elected has changed his mind and now wants to be reelected to a second term. Fortunately, we the people get to decide.

Now that Barack and Michelle have abused every perk of living in the White House, they want to torture us some more. “Change You Can Believe In”, really means thinking that we are too stupid to remember what Obama has said in the past.

On January 26th, 2010, President Obama told Dianne Sawyer that he’d like to be a real good one term president rather than a mediocre two term one.

Failing this nation so badly in just three years, doesn’t phase Barry. Obama needs 8 years to totally destroy us.

What scares me more than the abysmal record of this president is that there are a lot of voters who still believe he needs more time. Barack Obama is like a plague that cannot be controlled.

Every campaign speech is peppered with the new mantra, “fair share”, as he continues his scorched America blitzkrieg. Don’t ever believe that Occupy Wall Street wasn’t a White House basement creation. The “have nots” were suddenly screaming about the 1% and attacking the same people that Obama, his czars and Democrats have been cronies with since his run for president began.

If the Republican Presidential hopefuls would stop attacking each other and focus on the creeps occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Obama’s polling would be at the bottom.

Mitt Romney is being speared for being an entrepreneur and following the right of every U.S. citizen to prosper in the capitalist system. The real “Corporate Vulture” is Barack Obama, who has laid waste to our economy and future. Unemployment numbers have once again gone up and it will still be hovering around 8.7 – 9% by election day.

In an interview with ABC News, President Obama was asked by Barbara Walters if he will “be a mediocre two-term president.”
“I want to be a really good two-term president,” Obama told Waters.  Walters then asked Obama if he feels he has been a really good one-term president.
“I think that the choices we’ve made have made America stronger, and have made the American people — put them in a better position in order to succeed over the long term. Short term, folks are still hurting,” Obama said in response.

Barack and Michelle have always shown extreme arrogance and utter contempt for America and now the recent book “The Obamas” just chronicles what we’ve seen every day.

Suddenly Axelrod was out deflecting the reports of the 2009 Halloween party with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton held at the White House. Michelle is all over the networks complaining that she is being portrayed as an “Angry Black Woman”.

The truth hurts don’t it!

The Obama’s say “Let them eat cake”, while every day hard working Americans suffer.

I so look forward to voting you out of office this November and kicking your angry, racist and hateful asses out of Washington!

2011 in review

Saturday, December 31, 2011

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 8,200 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

4th Best President Ever Holidays Like a King

Tuesday, December 27, 2011

CBS and 60 Minutes edited out Barack’s comments, in which he believed he was the fourth best U.S. President.

“As you yourself said, Steve, I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, FDR and Lincoln. You know, just in terms of what we’ve gotten done in modern history,”

On December 23rd, Obama was wearing a big grin as he signed the bill for the token two month tax holiday. Barack was smiling not because he was saving taxpayers a measly $19.23 a week. Obama was happy for his victory over the Republicans and the inevitable boost in his poll numbers. He could now turn his attention back to more important matters; which set of golf clubs he would take to Hawaii.

"What's my tee off time?"

In this election year, optics are everything. After the Friday morning signing ceremony Obama was scheduled to make a statement in the press briefing room at 12:15PM, however true to his style, he showed up an hour and ten minutes later. Barack was air borne on Air Force One and on his way to Hawaii, less than forty minutes after he concluded his remarks.

The messaging battle over the Payroll Tax Holiday was won by the White House over misleading numbers, that the media accepted without any fact checking. Obama consistently said the average tax saving would be $1000 a year or $19.23 a week. Somehow that became “$40 a week” and for “160 million taxpayers”. The actual number of taxpayers is 137 million, no wonder the Democrats do not want to pass a budget.

The Republicans are to blame, especially in the Senate for passing the two month extension in a cowardly attempt to get home for the the holidays. The table has been flipped as Democrats appear to be “tax cutters” and the Republicans as heartless tax raisers.

Nothing could be farther from the truth and the Democrats now have a weapon in making this a renewed battle in February. It’s up to us voters to make sure they lose the election war.

This year’s Presidential Hawaii vacation is proving that Barack and Michelle live like royalty in direct contradiction of our nation’s founders, who did not want an Imperial Presidency.

First, Michelle and the girls left days earlier at a cost of over $100,000. But the kicker was a great report in the Hawaii Reporter by Malia Zimmerman, saying that this vacation will cost the taxpayers well over $4 million!

The round trip on Air Force One is over $3 million dollars, based on a $181,757 per flight hour as estimated by the U.S. Air Force. The USAF C-17 cargo aircraft that transports the Presidential limos, helicopters and other support equipment to Hawaii costs about $258,000.

The additional 7 houses for the Secret Service, Coast Guard and Navy Seals is $151,00. The 24 White House support staff staying in the elegant Moana Surfrider costs $72,216. Local Police and emergency service over time is $260,000.

The total cost (based on what is known) for a 17-day round trip vacation to Hawaii for the President and his family and staff and security is an estimated $4,113,038.

Then again “Princes” Nancy Pelosi is reportedly staying on the Big Island in a $10,000 a day suite on her annual vacation. Please remember all this when the Democrats blame Wall Street, millionaires and billionaires and sympathize with the OWS on election day, next November.

In keeping with his Kenyan royal blood lines, Obama made his 90th trip to the golf course. The 32nd this year, eclipsing the 2010 mark of 30 and is far ahead of his 2009 tally of 28 rounds as president. Keith Koffler of the White House Dossier estimates that’s about three months of golf, given that the excursions generally take about five hours – much of the useful portion of the day.

This is how our elected leader spends his time while blaming every hard working American with class warfare demagoguery and belittlement, except if you are a green job maker or a campaign contributor.

The hypocrisy stinks, we have to eat shit while President Obama and Michelle dines on Pacific Lobster. In between their gluttonous mouthfuls, they lecture us on what healthy food we must eat.

Let’s not get side tracked by their fat cat life styles, we still have a crappy economy, housing market and unemployment. I’ll give President Obama a rating of number one in how bad he has led the country.

Be careful, if the Republicans screw up any more we might have 5 more years of this.

Obama Highjacks Another Press Briefing to Campaign

Thursday, December 8, 2011

For the second time this week there was President Obama in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room campaigning to the Washington Press Corps.

On Monday he was there to warn Congress that they had to pass a bill to extend his Payroll Tax Holiday before the end of December, driving the point home with a shameless stunt of a countdown clock on two television monitors.

On Thursday, Obama was there again to continue his threats hours before a Senate vote on the bill and to complain on the failed nomination of Richard Cordray as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The cloture vote on the payroll tax bill failed 50-48 and the Republicans blocked the Cordray nomination as a protest over the abundant new bureaucracies the White House continues to create to bypass the authority of Congress.

Then Obama foolishly took questions from the press. The first question, “Republican candidates have taken aim at your approach to foreign policy, particularly the Middle East and Israel, and accused you of appeasement.  I wanted to get your reaction to that.”

Obama, ignored the question and replied, “Ask Osama bin Laden and the 22-out-of-30 top al Qaeda leaders who’ve been taken off the field whether I engage in appeasement.  Or whoever is left out there, ask them about that.”

That is exactly how Barack Obama campaigns and “leads” by changing the subject.

Obama cannot answer the question on his treatment of Israel or how he will stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. When asked a second time he said, “But what I can say with respect to Iran, I think it’s very important to remember, particularly given some of the political noise out there, that this administration has systematically imposed the toughest sanctions on Iraq — on Iran ever. “

That is a flat out lie. Last week after the Senate passed a bill 100-0 to penalize foreign financial institutions that do business with Iran’s central bank, the main conduit for its oil revenues. The administration pressed lawmakers to soften the proposed sanctions.

In regards to Obama’s Payroll Tax bill, the Republican have pushed to require him to approve the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada in order for them to support it.

The pipeline project is projected to create between 7,000 to 13,000 shovel ready jobs within the construction industry where unemployment is very high

The President has said repeatedly that he would veto any bill with the pipeline project attached.

“I know the suggestion right now is, is that somehow, well, this Keystone issue will create jobs, But here’s what I know:  However many jobs might be generated by a Keystone pipeline, they’re going to be a lot fewer than the jobs that are created by extending the payroll tax cut and extending unemployment insurance.

This statement alone is the best reason to vote him out of office. Receiving Unemployment Insurance is NOT a job and getting an additional $19.23 a week in your paycheck means you have a job.

Barack Obama likes to whine, vilify, and pander to hand picked audiences. Scolding the Republicans in front of the Press Corps will not lead to embarrassing questions later.

Nor will a speech before a partisan crowd in Osawatomie, Kansas, on everyone doing their “fair share”, bring any ridicule. However I’ll offer mine.

The choice of Osawatomie was a blatant attempt for Barack Obama to compare himself to Teddy Roosevelt a progressive, who made a speech there in 1910. Watching this speech I thought I accidentally tuned into Saturday Night Live.

While Obama pleaded for the reasons why he needed a continued payroll tax cut for the “middle class”, by adding more taxes to the “rich” and invoking Roosevelt’s name, he forgot that the IRS didn’t exist until 1913.

Obama said the words “fair share” over 26 times, however when Federal Income Tax was established, it was 7% on incomes over $500,000; which equates to about $10 million today.

Here is another factoid; in 1910 the total of all Federal, State and local government spending was 8% of GDP, comprised of 2.5% Federal, 0.7% state, and 4.8% local.

Today, due to Obama’s massive spending, the Federal share is 23% of a total of all government spending of 40% GDP.

More apparent in his speech is the fact that Barack Obama is embracing and trumpeting his socialist views to satisfy his base of hard core leftists and the poor.

The Republican nominee for President can win by hammering home the failed agenda of Obama and the Democrat party. Keep repeating the job loss numbers, those who have lost homes, those who have left the  job market, the value of the U.S. dollar and our deficit. It doesn’t matter if it is Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney. We can win by showing that President Obama’s record is even worse than Jimmy Carter’s. That’s a failure of epic proportions.

Obama, just like last year, promised to delay his planned seventeen day vacation to Hawaii until Congress voted his way. Who really cares.

That White House countdown clock should really be about how many days until his next vacation or better yet the number of days he has in office.

Barack Obama Dumbs Down the Presidency

Barack Obama is the least qualified man ever to run for President of the United States. Three years later I am still trying to understand if the voters even realize it. I doubt it.

Barack Obama was not vetted, his background was ignored. Obama’s habit of voting “present”, still apparent today, is considered unimportant.

President Obama scolds Republicans, again and again

Three years later we finally have proof that his policies have all failed and the nation is struggling because of it. Will that mean a guaranteed victory for the Republican presidential contender? I wouldn’t bet on it.

Republican candidates are battling it out for that job and so far we have a field of re-tread politicians and up and comers all with spotty records. True, most of them would do a better job than Obama, but that is not saying much.

When you have a President with lower approval levels than Jimmy Carter (42% vs. 53%), it’s easy to believe that any Republican can defeat him in 2012.

The irony in all this is that the media is looking at the records and words of all the Republican candidates with great scrutiny. The New York Times has been the most active in slamming Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain. But the left leaning MSM has ignored the very man in the White House; you can’t criticize the man you want in there, can you?

It will be either Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich who will be the Republican presidential candidate. Neither of them are Conservatives or embody the ideals of the Republican party. The general consensus is that we have to appeal to the independents and have a centrist candidate.

Are you bored yet? I am and I’m just as tired of railing against this empty suit of a President and we still have 11 months to go.

A majority of the voters do not begin to pay attention to the candidates and their message until two months before election day. The first Presidential debate in September of 2008 drew about 52. 4 million viewers, 127 million cast votes that November.

It’s entirely about messaging and today that only means attacking your opponent. President Obama’s horrible record is all out there for everyone to see. David Plouffe, David Axelrod and every proxie for Obama are out there trying to distract you from the truth.

The Democrat machine will use all it’s might to make dumb dumb look better than Mitt or Newt and continue the class warfare argument.

So what will it take for a Republican to win back the White House?

A solid, simple argument that explains clearly why we are on the wrong path and what will be done to correct it. We’ll need to get beyond Newt’s debating skills or Romney’s business acumen. The Republican nominee running for President will have to inspire, engage and raise the bar of what is expected of our President.

This is not American Idol, this is America’s Future.
