President Obama; Speak Softly and Go on Vacation
I’ve butchered President Teddy Roosevelt’s famous phrase, “Speak softly and carry a big stick” to appropriately describe the worst U.S President in history, Barack Obama.
The Ukraine is boiling over, Syria continues to kill its own people. The Iran nuclear deal is falling apart and Secretary John Kerry keeps bumbling from one diplomatic meeting to another. Al assad is still in power, Iran is continuing to enrich uranium and ship missiles to Gaza, while Putin is annexing the Crimea.
Is Barack Obama huddled in the Situation Room with the Joint Chiefs discussing strategy and how to protect the United States self interests? No.
Barack and Michelle have decided not to cancel their scheduled vacation in the Florida Keys, they leave early Friday to relax at the very expensive Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo The only “big stick” Barack’s peeps will be carrying are his golf clubs, so he can while away the hours on the two championship courses. Not to worry, Valerie Jarrett is still in charge and Joe Biden can certainly entertain the press.
Once again the world cannot depend on the United States and that is exactly how Obama and his Faculty Lounge Cabinet want it. Vladimir Putin has won, Barack skulked away last June in Ireland at the G8 Summit.
Today, Obama appeared at Jay Carney’s daily briefing to update the press on the crisis in the Ukraine. Truly, we have heard Obama say the same thing on every crisis over and over during the last six years. “Since the Russian intervention, we’ve been mobilizing the international community to condemn this violation of international law and to support the people and government of Ukraine.”
Obama likes using the word “condemn”. In his speech of March 2008, in Philadelphia, then Senator Obama said, “I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy.”
At the United Nations in September 2012, in Obama’s attempt to disguise the Benghazi attack, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. But to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see in the images of Jesus Christ that are desecrated, or churches that are destroyed, or the Holocaust that is denied. Let us condemn incitement against Sufi Muslims and Shiite pilgrims.”
At Georgetown University in June 2013, Obama preached about Climate Change, “I refuse to condemn your generation and future generations to a planet that’s beyond fixing.”
It seems to me that Barack Obama thinks his words have great power and no action is really required. So sayeth King Obama. Go forth and be under par. Your “big stick” is waiting.
