President Obama — Political Goon
The White House after months of demonizing and belittling the power of the Fox News Network made a dramatic reversal and granted a one on one interview between Bret Baier and President Obama. What made Fox News worthy; Healthcare!
What else would our thug-in chief want to talk about; certainly not unemployment, national security or the growing deficit.
Bret Baier is probably one of the most congenial and fair news reporters in all of television. But that didn’t stop Barack Obama from playing the politics of the Chicago Way and acting more like a goon than a President.
Obama bloviated, filibustered, denied and attacked — sticking to his David Plouffe written talking points. Here is a sample of the way Obama avoided answering direct questions.
BAIER: This is one-sixth of the U.S. economy, though, sir. One-sixth.
OBAMA: And, Bret, let me tell you something, the fact of the matter is that for the vast majority of people, their health care is not going to change because right now they’re getting a better deal. The only thing that is going to change for them is is that they’re going to have more security under their insurance and they’re going to have a better situation when it comes to if they lose their job, heaven forbid, or somebody gets sick with a preexisting condition, they’ll have more security. But, so — so —
BAIER: So how can you —
OBAMA: — the notion that —
BAIER: — guarantee that they’re not going to —
OBAMA: — so but —
BAIER: — they’re going to be able to keep their doctor —
OBAMA: Bret, you’ve got to let me finish my answers —
BAIER: Sir, I know you don’t like to filibuster, but —
OBAMA: Well, I’m trying to answer your question and you keep on interrupting. So let me be clear.
Now, you keep on repeating the notion that it’s one-sixth of the economy. Yes, it’s one-sixth of the economy, but we’re not transforming one-sixth of the economy all in one fell swoop. What we’re saying is is that for the vast majority of people who have health care, they’re going to be able to keep it. But what we are saying is that we should have some basic protections from insurance company abuses and that in order for us to do that, we are going to have to make some changes in the status quo that we’ve been debating for a year.
This notion that this has been not transparent, that people don’t know what’s in the bill, everybody knows what’s in the bill. I sat for seven hours with —
BAIER: Mr. President, you couldn’t tell me what the special deals are that are in or not today. (Full text)
President Obama has to be the ONLY voice in the room, when he’s interrupted his anger boils to the surface. Obama can only campaign, strut, pose, scowl, smile and then insult you.
Obama lacks any class and certainly does not have a clue on what the job of President entails. This President shows not a shred of respect for anybody, only himself. President Obama is a man-child, as Rush Limbaugh calls him.
Thanks to all those idiots who elected this goon from Illinois, Hawaii and Indonesia etc. etc.
Meanwhile the arm twisting, payoffs and threats in Congress continues so Pelosi can get the votes or do the deem and pass on this Healthcare monstrosity.
This morning after yesterday’s ride on Air Force One, Dennis Kucinich of Ohio, who previously thought the bill wasn’t left enough, “decided” to now vote yes. As of yet the deal offered Kucinich is unknown.
However we do know what bought the votes of Jim Costa (D-Calif.-20) and Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.-18.) of California’s Central Valley — water and a 40% unemployment rate in what was once the richest farmland in the country; now dry as a bone.
“The Obama administration, enabled by liberal enviro-nut Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) had refused to give the farmers their historically-available supplies of water for irrigation. The water was severely cut back after environmental groups filed lawsuits to protect a two-inch bait fish called the “Delta smelt” which was deemed to be endangered by the loss of river water to the farm fields which provide fruits and vegetables to much of the U.S.”
The U.S. Interior Department suddenly decided to “turn on” the water to California’s Central Valley farmers all timed to garner the yes votes on Obamacare from the two Congressmen in the Valley who already sold their votes once before on this issue.
“To get them out of the “undecided” column in December’s House vote, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic leadership promised $500 million for a new University of California-Merced Medical School in Fresno.” Two Calif. Congressmen Sell Out for Health Care Bill (Again)
This is a desperate White House and Congress, trying to pass this huge entitlement not for the benefit of the American people but for the Presidency of Barack Obama.
Maggie’s Farm said it best, “Each time Americans say no, Democrats arrogantly devise a new way to go around public opposition and as a vote approaches the backroom dealing and parliamentary scheming gets more and more unseemly. Even major newspapers can’t watch this process any longer. The Washington Post editorializes, “what is intended as a final sprint threatens to turn into something unseemly and, more important, contrary to Democrats’ promises of transparency and time for deliberation.” The Cincinnati Enquirer is less sanguine: “This disgusting process, which Democrats brazenly wish to bring to conclusion this week, is being done with little regard for the opinions of a clear majority of Americans who, while they may believe health care reform is necessary, think this particular approach will take our nation down the wrong economic path.”
I, just like millions of other citizens am completely disgusted by the keepers of the swamp in Washington. Out with all of them this November!
