Will Obama Really Battle Terrorism?
As the ugly days of indiscriminate death, standoffs and terror ends in Mumbai, India, President Elect Barack Obama said,
“These terrorists who targeted innocent civilians will not defeat India’s great democracy, nor shake the will of a global coalition to defeat them,” Obama said in a statement. “The United States must stand with India and all nations and people who are committed to destroying terrorist networks, and defeating their hate-filled ideology.”
I can only hope (there is that word again) that Obama as President will be as tough or even tougher on terrorism as George Bush has been.
However I have many doubts. I don’t really believe that Obama is convinced that Muslim extremists really want to harm the U.S or it’s citizens.
His appointment of Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano as Secretary of Homeland Security and Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State proves that Obama will not continue the “War on Terror”.
Dick Morris succinctly sums it up in: NO WAR ON TERROR UNDER OBAMA
“He could have selected a Rudy Giuliani or a Louis Free or a Ray Kelly anyone with real life experience in battling terrorists. Instead he chose a governor with no knowledge of the subject whose obvious credential is her proximity to the border.”
Napolitano’s focus, first as Arizona’s Attorney General and as Governor has been illegal immigration. Napolitano strongly supports guest worker programs and a pathway to citizenship for most of those people illegally residing in the U.S. — positions embraced by both 2008 presidential candidates.
But immigration hard-liners are likely to applaud the governor’s past support for expanded fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The DHS under Obama will now soften the ground for Immigration Reform – i.e Amnesty for almost 20 million illegal aliens. Protecting us from terrorism will be on the back burner.
Hillary Clinton is as inexperienced in foreign affairs as Barack Obama. Who cares how many countries she has visited or world leaders she has spoken with as First Lady. Neither Hillary or Obama have forged any foreign policy legislation during their time as U.S. Senators.
We still do not know how the Obama administration will deal with Iran, Korea, China, Israel or Palestine. Now India and Pakistan are the new flash points of terror.
As the smoke from the Taj Hotel cleared over 195 people died – (latest reports say the toll could be as high as 300 — according to The Telegraph of London) over the three days of terror in Mumbai. According to the New York Times, most of the dead were apparently Indian citizens, but at least 22 foreigners were killed. Among the dead reported were a rabbi from Brooklyn and his wife, who ran a Chabad Jewish center.
This was a well planned attack by a heavily armed Islamic para-military force who arrived by zodiacs in the harbour and fanned out across the city attacking ten locations almost simultaneously. The targets included the Oberoi Hotel, the Taj Mahal Hotel, a branch of the State Bank of India, the Leopold Cafe, Metro Cinema and the railway station. Places where there would be a large contingent of westerners.
The attack on the out of the way Nariman House – the Chabad house run by the orthodox Jewish Lubavitch group — was probably their easiest target. Here they slaughtered five innocents and sent a chilling message to the United States, Israel and anyone who is NOT Muslim.
The Chabad attack struck a deep concern within me. My son is also a Lubavitch Rabbi, currently safe in Brooklyn — but he could have been at the Nariman House on that terrible day.
I’m expecting the Israeli Mossad and Shin Bet to exact just revenge on the perpetrators of this terror. I don’t expect Obama to do much else but make great speeches and be really soft on terror.
Please prove me and the rest of the world wrong.

— NO UNIFIED COMMAND- AT RUDY’S INSISTENCE THE COMMAND CENTER WAS PLACED IN SAME LOCATION OF 1993 ATTACKS WHERE TERORISTS HAD SWORN TO RETURN. THE POLICE AND FIRE OPERATED AUTONOMOUSLY AND FAILED TO SHARE CRITICAL INFORMATION. PD AND FD HAD REMOTE COMMAND POSTS WITH NO COMMUNICATION. LACKED INTEROPERABLE RADIOS AS WAS RECOMMENDED AFTER 1933 ATTACKS.
— OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – FORMED TO MANAGE MAJOR EMERGENCIES BY RUDY. 9/11 COMMISSION DEEMED THEM USELESS AND INVISIBLE ON 9/11. FAILED MISERABLY ON 9/11.
— SELF EVACUATION OF TOWERS BY CIVILIANS RECOMMENDED AFTER 1993 ATTACKS,YET RUDY’S 911 DISPATCHERS CONTINUED TO TELL CIVILIANS IN TOWERS TO STAY WHERE THEY WERE RIGHT UP UNTIL COLLAPSE OF 2ND TOWER. RICHIE SHEIRER WAS POLITICAL CRONY AND EX FIRE DEPARTMENT DISPATCHER TO THE HEAD OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. ALL RAN LIKE COWARDS BEFORE ANY TOWER HAD FALLEN ON 9/11 AND LEFT THE REAL HEROES DOWN AT WTC.

— RUDY HAS MADE 70 MILLION DOLLARS OFF 9/11 WITH HIS SPEAKING TOURS , BUT WAS TOO BUSY TO HELP ANY SICK FIRST RESPONDERS. HE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP US IN ANY WAY.
— HUMAN REMAINS OF 9/11 VICTIMS AND HEROES ARE STILL LAYING IN A GARBAGE DUMP IN STATEN ISLAND. THIS IS BECAUSE HE PUT INEXPERIENCED CITY AGENCY IN CHARGE OF CLEANUP AND THEY RUSHED CLEANUP. OVER 1,000 HUMAN BONES WERE RECOVERED IN 2007 IN ROADS AND SEWERS WHICH WERE COVERED OVER PREMATURELY. FAMILIES HAVE LAWSUIT TO REMOVE THE HUMAN REMAINS IN STATEN ISLAND FRESH KILLS GARBAGE DUMP TO A PROPER BURIAL SITE.
I AM ASKING THE VOTERS OF FLORIDA TO MORE CLOSELY EXAMINE THE RECORD OF RUDY GIULIANI. ASK THE TOUGH QUESTIONS THAT WILL EXPOSE THE TRUE FACT THAT RUDY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. ON 9/11 RUDY’S LACK OF PREPAREDNESS AND LEADERSHIP LED TO AN UNCCORDINATED RESPONSE PUTTING THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF FIRST RESPONDERS AND CIVILIANS AT RISK. RUDY LIED ABOUT QUALITY OF AIR AND THEN AS ILLNESSES BECAME PREVALENT,HE TURNED HIS BACK ON US. WHILE WE WERE DIGGING FOR OUR LOVED ONES AND BROTHERS, RUDY WAS MARKETING HIS NEWFOUND 9/11 FAME.
THE TERRORISTS KILLED 2,749 AMERICANS ON 9/11. THE MYTH IS THAT RUDY WAS A GREAT LEADER THAT DAY. RUDY’S LEGACY WILL BE THOUSANDS OF SICK AND DYING FIRST RESPONDERS AND NO COMMUNICATION AT WTC LEADING TO PREVENTABLE TRAGEDIES IN THE NORTH TOWER.
