Obama — MSM Disown William Ayers Connection

Monday, October 6, 2008

As we approach the finish line to the 2008 Presidential election, John McCain and Sarah Palin are hammering Barack Obama on his association with radical William Ayers. This is another example of Obama’s questionable relationships with the likes of Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Michael Pfleger and PLO operative, Rashid Khalidi.

Bill Ayers stomping on the U.S. flag

Sean Hannity has been talking about Bill Ayers – a self avowed unrepentant terrorist for months. Ayers is one of the founding members of the Weather Underground, a radical left-wing terrorist group that formed in 1969 and was most famous for a string of bombings in the 1970s.

Barack Obama has once again lied about his association (remember his story on Rev. Wright?) and has tried to minimize his relationship with Ayers, dismissing him as “a guy who lives in my neighborhood” and “somebody who worked on education issues in Chicago that I know.”

You might question what relevance this has to the bigger issues of the day, such as the economy, the bailout and the Iraq war. Well it is another example of Barack Obama’s horrible judgement, his radical left-wing leanings and most importantly, his fitness to be President of these United States.

Obama’s long relationship with Ayers is explained in an article “Ayers-Dohrn-Obama Tie Shouldn’t Be Dismissed” by Bob Owens, in PajamasMedia:

“Obama campaign manager David Axelrod and other campaign surrogates are now furtively trying to claim today that Obama “didn’t know the history” of Ayers and Dohrn as the leaders of America’s most infamous left-wing terrorist group when Obama met at their home for a political “coming out” in 1995, but their attempt to make pretend that Barack Obama didn’t know of their terrorist past is laughable.

In reading Saturday’s New York Times article, a reader might be left with the impression that the terrorist organization headed by Ayers and Dohrn was engaged in little more than pranks, with a deprecating, “Most of the bombs the Weathermen were blamed for had been placed to do only property damage,” starting the solitary paragraph that mentions just three of the group’s specific attacks.

That the Weathermen — and specifically Obama fundraising hostess Bernardine Dohrn — were accused of killing an officer in a police station bombing in San Francisco was downplayed, as too was the extent of the carnage planned for the Fort Dix dance terror plot in 1970. That the Weathermen tried to murder a judge and his family with fire bombs was somehow not mentioned at all, nor were later Weathermen-related bombings that occurred through Barack Obama’s continuing political radicalization during the early 1980s.

Barack Obama’s first known meetings with Bill Ayers would occur three years after Obama graduated from Columbia, in Chicago in 1987. Ayers was an activist in the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools. Community organizer Barack Obama’s Developing Communities Project was a member of that Alliance.

Barack Obama was not eight, but a 24-year-old community organizer in Chicago at the time of the Weathermen’s last attacks, and 29 when many of the last remnants of the Underground in the offshoot May 19th Communist Organization were sentenced to prison in 1990.

The Main-Stream Media is so in the tank for Obama that it is obfuscating the facts — don’t believe me, take a look at just one 24 hour news-cycle — all linked: (source: NewsBusters.com)

Despite the Media’s prediction of an Obama victory and declaring McCain’s chances as DOA — it ain’t over just yet. On October 7th, 2004 an AP Poll said: Kerry Holds Small Lead Over Bush (50% to 46%).

On November 2, 2004: Bush won 50.7%  to Kerry’s  48.3%.

Just like the Amnesty fight in 2007, Americans have to wake up to the facts, get angry and involved. Barack Obama is a danger to this country with questionable judgement, friendships and policies.  Don’t elect this populist, empty suit leftist. Keep America strong and free, elect John McCain.

Factually wrong, politically irrelevant, and – to the extent that it encourages some misguided souls to vote for a hot-head and an empty-head – p;robably disastrous to the future security and prosperity of the United States. Given the state of the American (and now world) economy, the fragility of the Middle East, conditions in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and numberless other truly important issues, if McCain and Palin DO get elected, Hannity and his ilk will have a lot to answer for!

Peter as I’ve said in the past and I’ll say again, no speech of Change and Hope will due a damn thing to help the situation in the Middle East -one that the Western Mind is able to understand -if you want any better proof look at what happened to England, France, Holland and Denmark have to put up with now that they’ve let the Arab world into Europe -I’ve been there and have seen what they must put up with . . .
Frankly I’m tired of the Left’s childish political stance -they don’t counter with facts or even opinion, but empty rhetoric and sophomoric attacks on the character, nay the “intelligence” of their opponents. During the debate between Palin and Biden I followed various bloggers on Twitter as they gave a live commentary -people on the left would go on and on about mispronounced words and other bloopers, and when Palin made factually correct and powerful statements, they laughed even harder about the Polar Bear finally doing some research -damned if you do damned if you don’t . . . and all of this while ignoring factual errors and down right untruths from Biden. Frankly this is the same highfalutin, egocentric and conceited view possessed by Academia -the belief that there are many truths in the world (Communism, Fascism, Radical Islam, Tree hugging and the like) as long as they fall inline with their own -anything else is for the “ignorant masses.”
I find it frightening that Hollywood types ( I don’t mean the good folk that work away behind the scenes, or those that use their place of prestige for true good) feel that due to their Self-given (I would say G-d given, but one who believes himself to be the center of the universe, a god, could not have anything given to him by a Higher Power) talents, their opinion’s should set world policy . . . We’re speaking about people that live morally and socially corrupt lives that wish to improve their otherwise meaningless existences with pats on the back for being “progressive” and “open minded” -people who live their lives pretending to be someone else.
I may be from Los Angeles and live in New York, but I’m well aware that there’s a lot of country between the Upper Westside and West Hollywood . . . I’m tired of people discounting and insulting the good people that make up the vast majority of America -the people that work tirelessly fort a better America, that lay down their lives for my Freedom and the like -all of this while S. Francisco can only come up with naming a Sewage processing plant after the Commander in Chief of the country that protects them!
