Gustav, McCain-Palin and Obama-Biden

Sunday, August 31, 2008

Almost three years to the day hurricane Gustav will barrel ashore pummeling the Gulf coast states of Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. Like Katrina in 2005, New Orleans has once again been the focus of the news coverage — as the media stakes out the evacuated city, waiting for the worst to happen.

But this time things are different. The new Republican Governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal is in control and has ordered a mass evacuation and 1.9 million listened. Unlike his predecessor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, a Democrat – who waited and waited and waited and did nothing. Blanco’s actions were similar to that idiot mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin also a Democrat — who even got re-elected for his incompetence and impotency.

This time even Nagin got into the game by telling his citizens to “get your butts out of here.” That’s a lot better than calling New Orleans a “chocolate city”.

Even FEMA and Chertoff of the DHS sprung into action – thank god this is an election year.

Meanwhile, John McCain on the eve of the RNC Convention in St. Paul Minnesota also did the right thing by saying that the safety of those affected by the storm were more important than the political goings on. The Republican Convention has been severely ramped back – much to the glee of the DNC.

On the campaign front today, 20,000 turned out to see Palin & McCain In Missouri — his VP pick has excited the base and independants. Gateway Pundit details it here.

Sarah Palin comes off as genuine, sincere and very caring — something we have been missing in Washingtom for quite a time.

The Left is furious and very fearful of her –This is proven by the ugly smears from the most despicable Daily Kos and The Huffington Post. I refuse to link to these bottom dwelling scum merchants — they demonstrate how desperate the left is.

Obama, campaigning with Howdy Doody – oh I mean Joe Biden in Berlin Ohio — said the obvious, “Obviously this is a very serious situation.”

Joe Biden blathered, “…this could be worse. It may not be worse. But Katrina wasn’t the – it was the worst storm ever hit it but it’s not the worst storm that could have hit New Orleans.”

That’s a clear statement? — Does Biden and Obama’s statements prove they have more experience to lead the nation than Palin? Not with “leadership” like that!

Then of course leave it to that pinko Michael Moore who said, “The storm is proof that there is a God in Heaven.”

Not to be out done by the former DNC chair Don Fowler, caught with Democrat Rep. John Spratt on a plane from Denver to Charlotte, maliciously commenting,

“The hurricane’s going to hit New Orleans about the time they start. [Chuckle] The timing is — at least it appears now that it’ll be there Monday. That just demonstrates that God’s on our side. [Laughter] … Everything’s cool.”

The Left and Libs look down on all of us — especially their vaunted leader Barack Obama.

Remember all this class warfare in November.

Almost everyone I have spoken to in the last few days is extremely excited about Sarah Palin’s nomination. As you say, she is extremely refreshing and real. It amazes me that people on the left have started criticized her for having a daughter who is pregnant. In this day, almost every family has been touched by this! I am so proud of her for being forthcoming and didn’t hide. It tells me she is a great mom and has a well-adjusted family to have her children on that stage with her no matter what’s going on. I admire her love of her daughter regardless of what anyone thinks or says.

Let the liberal left and all the sharks in the liberal media laugh. Maybe we have a modern day “Daniel” in our midst? “He who laughs last laughs loudest”!!!!!
