Network News Anchors Travel With Obama To Iraq — No Left Wing Bias
UPDATE 07/19/08: Obama’s network interview schedule at end of post
It figures doesn’t it. When Barack Obama takes his presidential campaign on the world tour to Gaza, Israel and Iraq. The network nightly news anchors, Brian Williams, Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric will travel with him.

NBC, ABC and CBS evening newscasts will originate from those stops and give Obama super coverage. In contrast, John McCain has taken three foreign trips in the last four months, all unaccompanied by a single network anchor.
McCain visited Britain, France and Israel in March and met with their leaders, no network anchors tagged along. NBC and ABC sent correspondents; CBS did not. None of the evening newscasts covered his trip to Canada last month.
Certainly network ratings would factor in on the decision to follow Obama, but it’s so lop sided and transparent that it stinks. This proves with out any doubt that the media and it’s left wing bias is working very hard to elect Obama.
The only good thing is that the voters will be able to watch Obama self destruct and prove to every one that he has no foreign policy or any good plan on running the country. It will be lots of fun to hear him flip flop on every one of his leftist policies.
Update: Lara Logan, chief foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News, has landed the coveted first interview with Barack Obama while he’s abroad, according to sources familiar with the arrangements. Logan is to interview Obama on Sunday in Afghanistan. Parts of the interview will be seen on “Face the Nation” if the conversation occurs in time, then on “Evening News” on Sunday, and “The Early Show” and the “CBS Evening News” on Monday.
Katie Couric will interview Obama on Tuesday in a country that the campaign does not want named for security reasons, then will anchor “Evening News” from there. Charles Gibson of ABC’s “World News” is scheduled for an Obama interview on Wednesday, and Brian Williams of “NBC Nightly News” will go Thursday.
Obama’s campaign still insists that he is part of “congressional delegation on a fact-finding tour” and not campaigning for President.
Does anybody really believe that?
