Obama Weaves and Bobs on Fox News With Chris Wallace

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Barack Obama is a skilled speaker and has his talking points down, but he cannot explain away anything about himself. Even Chris Wallace said “You talk a good game”. That’s the overall feeling I got watching him today on his sit down with Fox New’s Chris Wallace. Obama shows he’s a real neophyte to both Washington politics and the Presidential race.

He has a brand new version of his association with his “former” Pastor, Jeremiah Wright, where he says he did hear some of those offensive sermons — but when asked specifically he can’t say. My thought — more of the same old bullshit from the anointed one.

Obama still re-writes the truth to suit his agenda:

WALLACE: There’s something else that we saw in Pennsylvania. And take a look at this. Whites backed Clinton 63 percent to 37, while blacks voted for you 90 percent to 10. And if anyone has any doubts, 12 percent of those whites admitted that race was a factor, and they went for Clinton by more than 3-1.

Senator, for all your efforts to run a post-racial campaign, isn’t there still a racial divide in this country that is going to make it very hard for you to get elected president?

OBAMA: Well, Chris, if you look at the general election polls, we are doing better against John McCain than Senator Clinton is. And we are putting states in play like Colorado and Virginia that have not been in play for a very long time. Here in Indiana, we just — you just saw polling by “The Indianapolis Star” showing me beating John McCain.

Sorry wrong:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows John McCain attracting 46% of the vote while Barack Obama also earns 46%. In a match-up with Hillary Clinton, it’s McCain 47%, Clinton 45%. Among White voters, McCain leads Obama by twelve and Clinton by eleven.

Among all voters nationwide, McCain is viewed favorably by 51% and unfavorably by 46%. Obama’s ratings are 50% favorable and 47% unfavorable. For Clinton, the reviews are 47% favorable, 51% unfavorable.

Not only is he a rookie at national politics and the world stage — he’s still a die-hard leftist, who will make change — but the wrong change.

Judge for yourself — here’s the transcript:

General election polls are nonsense anyway. First, there is the well known Bradley effect. We don’t know if any poll involving Obama is legit, and second the general is months away. The only polls that matter are the ones where people actually voted, and he got crushed in the last one.

That said, I disagree. I thought he did fairly well yesterday, however I thought that Wallace should have challenged him more.
