Jew Hating Jimmy Carter to Meet Jew Hating Khaled Meshal

Thursday, April 10, 2008

Former US president Jimmy Carter is expected to hold an unprecedented meeting with exiled Hamas terrorist chief Khaled Meshal in Syria on April 18. Meshal lives in Syria to avoid being arrested by the Israeli government.

What a disgrace, the failed ex-President of the United States is going to meet, talk and legitimize a known terrorist with blood on his hands!

The State Department has designated Hamas a “foreign terrorist organization,” and some groups hold Meshal personally responsible for ordering the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack once said of the prospect of meeting with Meshal, “That’s not something that we could possibly conceive of.”

John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations said, “It’s about par for the course from President Carter, demonstrating a lack of judgment typical of what he does,” “To go to Syria to visit Hamas at this point is just an ill-timed, ill-advised decision on his part.”

“I’m not surprised that Carter would do this, as he has been supporting Palestinian extremism for many years,” said Steve Emerson, director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, a watchdog group.

In a 2006 article in the New York Times, Meshal stated, resistance is a legitimate right that we will practice and protect,” and he defended attacks on Israeli civilians, which included many suicide bombings.

Meshal continued, Hamas would not “submit to pressure to recognize Israel, because the occupation is illegitimate and we will not abandon our rights,” nor would it disarm, but would work to create a unified Palestinian army.

Jimmy Carter has said that he viewed the unarmed young Palestinians who stood up against thousands of Israel soldiers as ‘instant heroes,’ Buoyed by the intifada, Carter passed on to the Palestinians, through Arafat, his congratulations.

Carter’s reiterates this in his book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid. President Carter’s book squarely places the blame on Israel for the Palestine conflict and by extension all the conflicts in the Middle East.

As a former head of state, Jimmy Carter’s actions are in direct conflict with United States foreign policy for the last three decades. But he’s a Democrat, so we should all expect this.

Cool, first comment. I’m surprised that there aren’t already a bunch, frankly. As I said in several posts at the Rott, this pos must be held accountable for treason, and hung in front of the Capital building, live, 6 o’clock, EST, all channels.

Jimmy Carter has made so many blunders that it’s hard to know where to begin. But I am convinced that his most serious blunder was giving away the Panama Canal. It was a most serious judgmental and tactical error that will come back to haunt the US in a very big way. Yes, we still will be feeling the repercussions of his term in the White House.
