Governor Spitzer Resigns — Only 794 Super Delegates to Go

Finally, the Governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer announced a date for his resignation — Monday, March 17th. Yes, I know that I boldly stated my lede on Monday, March 10th, well ahead of schedule.

It is reported that he will be indited for his involvement in a prostitution ring. Spitzer will forever be known as “Client No 9”. The sealed criminal complaint is here – (juicy bits on page 38, para 85). The Emperor’s Club details here.

Spitzer, who was the former Attorney General for New York state, is tap dancing furiously to carve out a plea-bargain. He delayed his resignation by using his post as Governor as a bargaining chip to receive lesser charges.

The case involving Spitzer started when banks noticed frequent cash transfers from several accounts and filed suspicious activity reports with the Internal Revenue Service, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. The accounts were traced back to Spitzer, leading public corruption investigators to open an inquiry.

Spitzer’s replacement is Lieutenant Governor David Paterson. Paterson is black and legally blind. That’s just about as perfect a politician New York can get.

Is this a Barack Obama dirty trick? I mean Spitzer is or was a Super Delegate and backed Hillary Clinton.

Obama only needs to get rid of 794 more delegates to be crowned the king, messiah, Democratic Presidential Candidate.

I know Democrats are as pure as the driven snow – they do no wrong, never lie and never commit crimes. Except the Clinton’s.

Ironically sexual scandal within the Democratic party didn’t shake up the Mississippi primary a bit.
