Super Tuesday = McCain vs Clinton in General Election

Tuesday, February 5, 2008

McCain and HillaryAfter major wins in the Super Tuesday national primaries it looks to be John McCain and Hillary Clinton who will battle each other in November for President of the United States.

I cannot imagine a more boring Presidential match up. Listening to Hillary’s speech tonight was a real chore – she read from her script in the best monotone delivery she could muster.

John McCain is no orator either, it’s like Grandpa re-telling his fishing story for the 3oth time. “Well my friends…”

The debates will be a snoozefest – they have the same agenda. The only sparks will come when they tangle on Iraq.

They both say they’ll be “Ready on Day 1”. The question is ready for what?

Yeah I know that McCain says he “got the message” and he will close the Southern border – and then guess what — Amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens.

Hillary Clinton has a laundry list of government entitlements, tops being national health care, then more taxes, more taxes and more taxes.

I’ll count the number of times McCain does his double thumbs up hand pump and Clinton points to members of the audience like she knows them.

Barack Obama delivered another excellent speech “si se puede” oh I mean “yes we can” — I predict he’ll end up as the V.P on Hillary Clinton’s ticket.

I’m going to sip a single malt scotch on ice now, because Hillary Clinton will squash John McCain like an aggravating bug in November ’08.

Get ready for a very long and dull nine months to November and an even sadder four years. God Bless America.

I disagree. I saw the results as Obama leading and winning the most primaries. And I do not believe that Obama and Hilary will ever get along long enough to be on the same ticket. Also if Hilary were to get the nomination, Mccain will end up beating her, not crushing, but will beat her. Obama is the only person who has any sort of a trump card against any republican tool, err i mean candidate. And I believe that the next 4 years will not be sad, they may not be the most glorious 4 years, mainly because Bush has dug us into a gigantic craphole that will take a long time to get out of. So I think it’ll be Mccain vs. Obama and Obama will defeat him and we’ll have a very positive 4 years. Granted no matter who wins, no candidate will ever be “a savior up on capitol hill.” -quote Derek Webb.

I am definitely a victim of electile dysfunction. I cannot get excited about any of the remaining presidential hopefuls. May I close with a quote?

“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of “liberalism” they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” Norman Thomas

As Kim duToit says, “I love my country more than I hate John McCain”.
