Amnesty for Illegal Aliens: Win Some Loose Some

The “Dream Act” — another Democrat attempt at giving Amnesty to Illegal Aliens was dropped for the second time from an amendment to a recent bill. This is a result of the enormous pressure we the constituents are putting on our Senators.

Despite opinion polls showing more than 60% of Americans believe Illegal Immigration is destroying this country, the elitists in Washington have NOT gotten the message. The Democrats in particular are on an all out rush to pass Amnesty for Illegal Aliens.

Majority leader Harry Reid is now pushing for a vote on the “Dream Act” as a stand-alone measure. That bill is expected to be S. 2205, introduced yesterday (Friday, October 19th) by Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and cosponsored by Sens. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) and Dick Lugar (R-Ind..), two long-tenured Republicans!

You must keep calling your Senators and let them know how much you oppose the rewarding of Illegal Aliens with rights to acquire a Green Card and eventual citizenship for BREAKING THE LAW!

To prove how much the Democrats want to legalize Illegal Aliens, earlier this week, by a 52-42 margin, senators voted to table an amendment (SA 3277) to end Sanctuary Cities.

Sponsored by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) to the commerce, justice, and science (CJS) spending bill (H.R. 3093), which, if adopted, would have prevented Federal Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grants from being awarded to states and municipalities with sanctuary policies in place. It is believed that if the Vitter amendment had been adopted, most cities would have stopped providing sanctuary to illegal aliens in order to retain COPS funding.
