YOU HAVE SPOKEN: SENATE VOTES 50 – 45 STALLS S1348 TAKEN OFF SENATE FLOOR

Thursday, June 7, 2007

A victory of sorts, no I check that, we won ! — The citizens of the United States have complained, called, emailed and faxed their Senators and told them that this bill is lousy.

In the second Cloture vote today there were 50 Nays and 45 Yeas – the cloture amendment fails. Majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has pulled the bill from the floor. It’s dead for now! If it wasn’t for the Internet and talk radio this bill would have passed weeks ago.

In the vote postmortem Harry Reid is whining about how many people liked the bill ? Really? Ted Kennedy is wringing his hands and picking up the torch for all the Illegal Aliens – NOT U.S. Citizens and LEGAL Immigrants but LAW BREAKERS! I guess it takes one criminal to know another criminal.

Congratulations to every one who has pushed to kill this bill. I also want to thank every one who has visited this blog, 1299 today alone!

SWEET VICTORY – POWER TO THE PEOPLE

BUT WHERE’S THE FENCE?

This proves that when aroused the people can change things in Washington, now if we can just do something about the traitors at the N.Y.slimes!

Bless You for providing the excellent information. Could not have know who to fax last night without this web. I was up all night and it was worth it. I sent S1348 supporters several strong messages.

I want to thank the NAY voters on todays cloture — you provided the information I needed to do that too. You have what I need and have had difficulty finding.

    Gratefull,
    Jacqui Scott

I am elated! This is the best news I’ve heard in quite some time! Thanks, autone, for getting the word out there. And I agree with your assessment that if it weren’t for the internet this bill would have passed. That is why they would like to dry up this source of contact and information.
