Senate Does Not Listen to the Voters: Immigration Bill S1348 Continues

Monday, May 21, 2007

I telephoned 30 Senators today to urge them to vote no on Cloture — meaning that the bill cannot move forward. But it was all for naught, the bill will proceed.

As I waited for the vote, I watched C-Span and listened to these fat blowhards lying openly about the merits of this back room secretly crafted piece of crap called a Compromise Immigration Reform Bill S1348. Many of the Senators couldn’t even get what’s in it right! They’ve never read it and it’s unenforceable. So don’t believe anything positive they say — this bill is a disaster!

Kennedy Amnesty

Sen. Edward Kennedy (seated), and from left, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) and Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA).

I spent the very early hours of Sunday morning reading the draft of the bill and was shocked at what it will not do to solve the Illegal Alien problem. The bill is a pass on real reform and protection. Most of the Senators have never read it and referred to the propaganda written by it’s proponents.

So it’s not over until the fat Ted Kennedy sings! You should continue to let your Senators know that there are big holes in this bill. They might fix them and then the House will have it’s time to make more changes. But I do not have much faith or trust in any of these Senators or Representatives!

This bill will cost 2 – 3 trillion dollars, as the majority of Illegals will get on welfare and suck us dry. The biggest problem about this bill is trying to enforce it — it can’t be done.

Get informed by checking out Hugh Hewitt’s explanation of what this bill proposes — it’s an eye opener!

The Library of Congress must keep changing the URL to the speech. It will be there for a while and the ‘poof’, it’s gone.

Try this link instead –> http://rohrabacher.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=65918
