Carl Bernstein Calls Hillary Clinton a Liar

Sunday, April 29, 2007

As revealed in the Sunday Times of London, famed Watergate journalist Carl Berstein has written a hard-hitting and intimate portrait of the 2008 presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, which will reveal a number of “discrepancies” in her official story. “Bernstein reaches conclusions that stand in opposition to what Senator Clinton has said in the past and has written in the past,” said Paul Bogaards, a spokesman for Knopf, which publishes the book on June 19.

Hillary in San Diego

Bernstein, has spent eight years researching the unauthorised 640-page biography, A Woman in Charge: The Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Bernstein spoke to more than 200 of Clinton’s friends, colleagues and adversaries. He stops short of accusing the New York senator of blatantly lying about her past, but has unearthed examples of where she has played fast and loose with the facts about her “personal and political life”.

The book could revive the explosive charge, made earlier this year by David Geffen, a former Clinton donor and Hollywood mogul, that “the Clintons lie with such ease, it’s troubling”. Clinton’s relationship with the truth has frequently come under scrutiny. William Safire, a conservative columnist in The New York Times, provoked a storm in the 1990s when he accused the first lady of being a “congenital liar”. Bill Clinton let it be known that if he were not president, he would punch Safire on the nose.

The senator continues to lead Barack Obama, her nearest rival, in the polls – most recently by 36% to 31% in an NBC/Wall St Journal survey – she continues to be dogged by high ratings for “unfavourability”. It’s a sure bet that Bernstein is a supporter of Barack Obama and has never been shy of throwing bombs to support his very liberal Democrat objectives.

Meanwhile in San Diego at the California State Democratic Party convention on Saturday, Clinton continued to agree with whichever way the polls blow. (See: “If I Knew Then What I know Now – The Hillary Mantra”)

Hillary said that if elected president in 2008, she would end the war. The New York senator also promised to “treat all Americans with dignity and equality no matter who you are and who you love.” The pledge was clear bow to California’s politically active and influential gay community.

Taking on Bush’s policies, Clinton contended the president has ignored scientific evidence on global warming and stem cell research while also dismissing the concerns of the middle class. She said his administration had “lied” about the effects of toxic dust at the World Trade Center site in New York after the Sept. 11 attacks.

That’s certainly a mouthful of policy and Clinton should be real careful when calling anyone else a liar. Watching the Democratic candidates debate in South Carolina this past Thursday was a real snoozefest. Which one will prove to be the strongest anti-war and appeasement candidate — we’ll find that out in California after the February 5th primary. The terrorists and al Qaeda will be cheering the Democrats on!

From the time I lived in Arkansas to the present, the press has been not only entranced, but intimidated by the Clintons and especially Hillary who is a full blown psychopath. She will say anything, do anything, and tell you anything to promote herself. If she will lie about her personal life, she will have no compunction about lying to the American people about anything she feels necessary to rule this country and win elections.

Although she has been described as “intelligent”…she is not. Hillary is merely a clever psychopath who will be exposed time and time again…until the American people understand who Hillary is.

When she was running for the Senate, one of her favorite tricks was to show up in New York at any public meeting or event, such as the opening of a new library, and make the “claim” that she was responsible. This is not going to be forgoteen by those in New York who did all the work.

Her political and social opinions and beliefs are like some bad-dream and a religion in which she is the female goddess in a fascist society of her own making in which everyone, all workers, all business, all governement agencies will bend to her will …or else. She will not be elected.

Hillary is dragging around enough “garbage” from her past to fill 10 large waste disposal trucks. Her past is the elephant in the room that soon cannot be ignored.

Any one who votes for her is deluded, or mentally ill, and has the same affection for her, that the naive Germans had for Adolph Hitler. In fact, from reading Hillary’s speeches going back 30 years and more, she has every intention of becoming the first female Hitler in history.

If you thought President Bush has credibility problems, then Hillary Clinton does not even know how to spell the word. On her crawl upward, she has also made foes out of her friends like only a feckless psychopath could. And, even the most dim will soon understand exactly who and what Hillary is…and will be deeply offended that she has gone out of her way motivated by her basic insecurities and compensatory narcissicism…to insult our intelligence with her lies and machinations.

Although some people are at the same time in awe and intimidated by Hillary, many of us are not. She will not be elected.

I just read this post of your’s and could understand your point of view until your last sentence. To write that nasty and unneeded line at the end undermines your credibility.

When I first starting practicing law I believed in the so-called system and believed in honesty above all. Unfortunately if I couldn’t spin (not lie but spin) testimony the truth would be run over by the lies. It’s pathetic. Perhaps the Clintons learned that they needed to protect themselves for the ultimate righteousness of their position. You don’t have to agree with the position but sometimes to accomplish the “right” thing you need to re-write the script and train the actor.

I don’t think Hillary is a psychopath. I think her problem is she is downright boring. I feel most of us have seen and heard enough of both her and her husband. They both need to step off the world stage and find something else to do with their lives. Even if she wins in New York, people in the so-called heartland are not fooled by her. She is too needy, too ambitious, and too boring.

As much as I’d like to see a woman president, I don’t trust Hillary as far as I can throw her.
