Suzzane Somers Uses Fire Destroyed Home To Protest Iraq War

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

The world watched multi-million dollar Malibu beach front homes being destroyed by a wind swept blaze on Tuesday evening. Most were probably wondering which Hollywood film star’s luxury homes were burning in this densely built stretch of road. Was it Mel Gibson, Pierce Brosnan, Pamela Anderson, Barbra Streisand, Ted Danson, David Geffen or Courteney Cox-Arquette?

Somers fire

The next morning news crews gathered to show us the destruction with the hope that they could catch video of some of the wealthiest homeless — and one showed up.

It was Suzzane Somers with her husband Alan Hamel who were there to survey the damage, while firefighters sprayed foam on the smoldering ashes and a blackened Jaguar roadster sat in the driveway, its tires melted.

Somers2Somers, 60, who starred in the 1970s TV comedy Three’s Company and owns the ThighMaster fitness products company decided to make a statement.

“What else can you do with a tragedy, but look for the opportunity to grow spiritually and emotionally? And I know that we’ll learn something great. It was a beautiful house. It was a beautiful place to live. My nature is to look at the glass half full. I don’t have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven’t lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience.”

What the hell does this fire have anything to do with those that are serving in Iraq? What does the loss of a home have to do with the War? It’s simple, Suzanne Somers who is extremely wealthy and very out of touch with the real world — like all left wing Hollywood nuts use any and every opportunity to bash the war effort and sling shit at the government.

Larry Olivier said it best, “Why don’t you try acting?”

Why, oh why does anyone put any stock in the opinions of someone whose sole talent is making convincing faces at a camera? Essentially making fantasy believable for a living? I don’t.

And remember her most memorable role was that of a dumb blond tootsie that had to have the fake gay guy and the smart brunette keep her from being victimized by the sexually predatory men that gravitated to her arguably dynamite bod! Or that she sold a spring contraption to millions of women under the premise it would thin their thunder thighs!

It is simply amazing the crud people will believe.

Just how ignorant are you? What Ms. Sommers meant by that statement was the loss of a home is nothing compared to what other people and families have had to deal with. ie. losing a family member in the war. A house can be rebuilt, a person can’t.
