Today’s the Day – Get Out And Vote !

Tuesday, November 7, 2006

Well it’s finally Election Day. The barrage of nasty and toxic political ads are done for a little while — until the early, early Presidential candidate ads come to your television screen any day now!

No matter what — get out there and vote — as a former LEGAL immigrant and very proud U.S. Citizen, I can say first hand that you have an incredible power and a right to cast a vote in the greatest and freest country in the world.

Osama

Even those who say how much they either hate the government, it’s elected officials or even America itself – you not only have the right to speak freely but the right to vote your conscience. Remember that many have given their lives so you can live freely, prosper and go to the polls today. Cast your vote and let freedom ring.Whatever the results; be they a retaking of the House by the Democrats or the retention of a majority by the Republicans – the United States of America will continue to thrive and our democracy will flourish.

Sure, the debate will continue on the War on Terror, the War in Iraq, Immigration, Abortion, Stem-Cell Research, the Supreme Court.

But that’s the point – the issues will not go away just because another party assumes power. The process will continue the arguments might get more heated but as the anthem says our flag will still be there.

When you go to your polling place today look around and recognize that everyone there believes in the same thing you do – One Nation under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All.
