Gut Check – Just Three Days From Election Day
As the clock winds down and the Political advertising barrage feels more like mortar fire its time to do a little fact finding. The general consensus is that American voters will make this mid-term election a referendum on President George Bush and the war in Iraq.
But before you use revenge as a means of deciding your vote it’s more important that you look at the voting record of the candidate you might choose to determine whether or not you side with their political agenda.
The Democrats recently got a strong recommendation of support from the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group’s senior member Jihad Jaara who said, “Of course Americans should vote Democrat,” “This is why American Muslims will support the Democrats, because there is an atmosphere in America that encourages those who want to withdraw from Iraq. It is time that the American people support those who want to take them out of this Iraqi mud,”Jaara spoke not from Gaza, but from the safety of his exile in Ireland, where he was sent as part of an internationally brokered deal that ended the 2002 siege of Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity.
Jaara was the chief in Bethlehem of the Brigades, the declared “military wing” of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party. Together with the Islamic Jihad terror group, the Brigades has taken responsibility for every suicide bombing inside Israel the past two years, including an attack in Tel Aviv in April that killed American teenager Daniel Wultz and nine Israelis. I’m sure those Jihadis will be gathered ’round the TV cheering for a Democrat win on election night!
Let’s look at the Californian Democratic delegation’s voting record in the area of Immigration. This information is from NumbersUSA a terrific site that has focused the country’s attention on illegal immigration issues.
Nancy Pelosi has been given an F- for her overall career voting on Immigration Reduction and an F for 2005-2006.
Dianne Feistein who is up for re-election gets a C+ for her Career voting but for 2005-2006 she only earned a D+ in Immigration Reform.
Barbara Boxer’s record on curbing Immigration only rates a C- during her Career and a D+ for 2005-2006.
The sad fact is that the majority of the Democratic Senators and Congressmen have consistently low grades. The party’s immigration platform shows no desire to reduce the flood of illegal aliens, to legislate any changes towards anchor babies or work place enforcement. The Democrats want the status quo as our population leaps past 300 million and estimates say we have between 12 and 20 million illegal aliens.
