UPDATE: 12/29/09 13:30PT Moments ago President Obama voted “present” once again by making an audio only statement about the aborted terrorist attack on Christmas day. Obama used his time to lay blame on other government officials as opposed to being presidential man enough to take charge, “Mix of human and systemic failures”. It is important to note that again, Obama did not use the word terrorist but the more PC term of “extremist”. This White House continues to believe the United States is safer from Islamo-Terrorism, because we elected Barack Obama President. Prove it!

Once again President Obama is in front of the American people to create the appearance that he is really leading this country. I think the public sees this as another transparent attempt at being presidential and helping his polling numbers. Obama abandoned his duty to protect this nation a long time ago. He is an epic failure.

It has taken him three days to give any semblance of a public reaction to the luckily failed in flight bomb detonation by terrorist Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab. Obama also made a statement on the ongoing unrest in Iran, again a full two days after the events began.

The last time world events were moving faster than his presidential advisors, Obama was eating ice cream with the family in Martha’s Vineyard. This time he’s in Hawaii, golfing, working out at the marine base gym and having idyllic picnics on the beach. This is an absolute abdication of the duties of our President and Commander-in-Chief.

There are so many questions raised now after this complete breakdown of airport screenings and the terror watch lists. There were lots of red flags about this potential attack that were missed as once again no one bothered to connect the dots.

The results of an overly sensitized administration, bent on reversing all of the lessons learned from the attacks of September 11th are bearing fruit. Obama is desperate to appease the Muslim world and erase the words “Global War on Terrorism” to the benign “Man Caused Disasters”. In today’s statement he never said “terrorism”, “Muslim”, “Jihad”, or “Al Queda”. Obviously this stance has not stopped Islamo-terrorists from wanting to kill us.

Will this near miss result in a change of policy, not likely. The White House still plans to release over 80 Guantanamo detainees to Yemen. Despite the fact that AbdulMutallab spent a few months there where he received his training and the bomb ingredients. The KSM show trial in New York city is still on track as well as the Illinois prison to hold the remaining detainees. Don’t forget that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan’s attack at Fort Hood is still not being called a terrorist event — that’s proof enough of their blindness.

The MSM still gives Obama cover while the White House and Democrats look through the wrong end of the telescope to give them the optics to blame Bush, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan instead of taking the responsibility of defending our nation from attacks both foreign and domestic.

Read the Constitution you damn fools, your incompetence is showing.

Traditionally Christmas is about faith, joy, gift giving, family, friends and the birth of Jesus Christ 2009 years ago. But we should also celebrate a Christmas 233 years ago, when brave Americans risked everything against formidable odds, to fight a pivotal battle against the most powerful army in the world. In that victory they helped in the defeat of an oppressive monarchy and prove that the U.S.A. is the greatest nation on earth.

In the dead of night during a ferocious hail and sleet storm on December 25, 1776, George Washington led a column of 2,400 Continental Army troops across the icy Delaware River and marched 9 miles to Trenton, New Jersey. There, in a surprise attack they routed and defeated a garrison of 1500 enemy soldiers and secured a turning point in the American Revolutionary War. The password for the attack was, “Victory or Death”.

The Continental Army was made up of farmers, sailors, shop owners, fisherman and laborers, who banded together to fight the tyranny of the King of England to end the oppressive taxes and domination. Their morale was boosted by the writings of  Thomas Paine’s, Common Sense and The Crisis.

These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

This Christmas we have reached that critical juncture again, where the powerful elitists in Washington have lost there way and like King George, believe that everything we citizens work for is theirs to take and control.

It is time for another American Revolution, not with muskets and gun powder but with email, telephone, fax and the ballot box. We must mobilize and let those elected to office who are supposed to listen to us, know that shortly they will be replaced by more honest congressman, who do the people’s bidding and not soley their own.

Have a Merry Christmas and think about those brave men 233 years ago and those in the military at this moment, far from home and their loved ones, standing watch and defending our liberty.

President Obama put on his “man of the people” face today when he said he won’t leave on his Christmas vacation to Hawaii until “my friends in the Senate have completed their work. My attitude is if they are making these sacrifices to provide health care to all Americans, the least I can do is be around and provide them any encouragement and last-minute help”. What an incredible act of self-sacrifice, what an incredible political act!

This President has no balls, he’s a weakling who can only stand up to conservative radio and television commentators making threats and sounding tough. But when it comes to rogue nations and their tin-pot dictators, like North Korea, Iran, Syria, and China, Obama can only genuflect, preach engagement talks with no pre-conditions and then fold like a cheap deck chair.

The proverbial "Nuclear Football" probably carries Obama's balls

When ever the President travels outside the White House a military aide carries a Zero Halliburton briefcase inside a black leather “jacket” called the “Atomic Football”. This nuclear football contains the launch codes to authorize a nuclear attack — but instead, I think it carries a set of brass balls that this president sorrowley needs.

On inauguration day, President Obama said he would sit down and talk with Iran and the other “axis of evil” nations to begin a new era of engagement and change the way the U.S. is perceived by the world. Iran, South Korea, Syria and China have all called his bluff and laughed at his naivite. Nothing has been accomplished and both Iran and North Korea continue to be security threats, even ramping up their sabre rattling.

Major Garrett of Fox News reports, “Senior  Obama administration officials tell Fox the move to impose sanctions against Iran for it’s feared pursuit of nuclear weapons will begin in January, but it will take time to gain speed and specificity.”

This is the same president who preaches the end of nuclear weapons and “smart diplomacy” with no tangible results after nearly a year in office. Obama has traveled the world and spouted a lot of his campaign boiler plate of hope and change and a new vision, blah, blah, blah, and blah.

I’m really tired of this empty suit of a leader, with no idea of how to run the country, the economy or our security.  The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That’s the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.

Meanwhile the super rush in the Senate by the Democrats to get passage of their version of the health care bill before Christmas is a complete sham. The Senate will not convene until January 19th, 2010 and once the healthcare bill becomes law it will not be providing the citizens anything until 2014.

UPDATE: 12/24/09 This President really sickens me as he continues to disgrace the role of Commander-in-Chief. Below is a photograph of Obama as he boarded Air Force One for his family vacation in Hawaii. The Air Force Officers salute their Commander and instead of responding with a salute, jug-ears attempts to shake their hands — a total break down of Presidential protocol from this idiot community organizer. He is a complete failure.

Come to think of it President Obama is not the only one without balls, the list includes Harry Reid and all the Democrats and Republicans, exclusive of Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton who’ve managed to keep theirs.

On Christmas eve, Norad will be tracking more than Santa’s sleigh this year. They will have the additional task of monitoring all the government jets flying our U.S. Senators home. December 24th looks like the date that Harry Reid will use to get passage of their version of the health care bill. The stink from all the sweat, arm twisting, bribes and bullshit will reek for decades.

Then in January 2010, Nancy Pelosi and the House of Representatives will be busy polishing this turd to an awesome shine. Hopefully the leftist of the Democrat left will put back all the worst stuff into their version so that the reconciliation process will be mired by Democrat on Democrat violence.

The Democrats can only get passage of their crap in the middle of the night, on weekends and holidays — their legislation is so bad that they don’t want us to read it or even know about it.

This is the gift that will keep on taking our tax dollars. Passage of this monstrous growth in government control will mean that in 201o we will start paying for it, but “health care for all” will not even be available until 2014.

Yuval Levin of National Review Online states, “The CBO assessment of the bill tells the appalling story. We are going to raise taxes by half a trillion dollars over the next ten years, increase spending by more than a trillion dollars, cut Medicare by $470 billion but use that money to fund a new entitlement rather than to fix Medicare itself, bend the health care cost curve up rather than down, insert layers of bureaucracy between doctors and patients, and compel and subsidize universal participation in a failed system of health insurance rather than reform or improve it.”

Randall Hoven at  America Thinker clarifies, “The CBO does not make the accounting all that easy, despite its many tables of numbers. The number Democrats like to cite is that this plan will reduce the deficit by $132 billion over the ten years from 2010 to 2019.

Let me repeat. You get “deficit reduction” by cutting Medicare and raising taxes by more than $1 trillion: Medicare and other program cuts of $483 billion, and an extra $521 billion in new taxes and fees.

The cuts include cuts across Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program: $186 billion from permanent reductions in payment rates for fee-for-service, $118 billion for payment rate reductions based on bids submitted, and $43 billion from reducing payments to hospitals that serve low-income patients. In all, it’s a $483-billion cut from Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP.”

President Obama continued to lie to us today and called the vote “a big victory for the American people,” and challenged critics who say it will increase, not reduce costs.
“For all those who are continually carping about how this is somehow a big spending government bill, this cuts our deficit by $132 billion the first 10 years, and by over a trillion in the second,” Obama said. “That argument that opponents are making against this bill does not hold water.”

The Democrats are willing to risk loosing their majority in 2010 so they can change this country fundamentally into a model of a European social democracy. That is what Obama’s vision is for the U.S.A. Obama wants to level the playing field so we cannot be the super power any more — after that he can stop apologising for America to the world.

We have to fire all of them in 2010 and 2012. Give them a call and let them know in advance, Senators of the 111th Congress. Let’s go get ‘em America.

Lost in all the glitz, glamour and the spin on President Obama’s first State Dinner with India’s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh was that it was only twenty-four hours short of Thursday, November 26th in Mumbai.

This State Dinner practically took place on the one year anniversary of the horrific Mumbai terrorist attacks. There is no justification to why the Indian Prime Minister wasn’t home to lead his country’s memorial services. But this state dinner is emblematic of Obama and his administration’s view that the world and the United States is once again “safe”; simply because he is president.

There is a lot of finger-pointing surrounding the dangerous security breach by White House staffers and the Secret Service on the now famous party crashers, Michaele and Tareq Salahi. These two west Virginian socialites of the horsey set, luckily were not terrorists — but what if they were. (Must read bombshell: “White House Party Crashers Linked to Obama’s Radical Pal Rashid Khalidi”)

Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan explained, “The preliminary findings of our internal investigation have determined established protocols were not followed at an initial checkpoint, verifying that two individuals were on the guest list. Although these individuals went through magnetometers and other levels of screening, they should have been prohibited from entering the event entirely. That failing is ours,”

Michelle Malkin, once again hits a bullseye with, “Crashergate, Desiree Rogers, and the Chicago Way: Land of no consequences”.

We can be assured that they were not carrying weapons or had bombs strapped to their bodies, but what if they had vials of ricin or sarin gas. With one fell swoop they could have killed Vice President Biden, President Obama and India’s Prime Minister Singh! Nancy Pelosi would now be in charge!

This administration has hit the “Reset Button” too many times and lives under a “Pre 9/11″ policy mandate. It’s this mindset that wants to prosecute terrorist murderer Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in criminal court proceedings in lower Manhattan, under the full rights of the U.S. Constitution and innocent until proven guilty. It is the same President that refuses to call Major Nidal Malik Hasan a terrorist murderer, despite all the facts otherwise.

The Obama’s are so full of themselves that this function was held outside on the White House lawn under a huge tent for 400 dinner guests. What kind of security nightmare did this event pose? Despite that, two wannabes crashed the most secure building in Washington, if not the world.

As a reminder of the empty words our President spews forth daily, here is a gem he said in another “important speech” on May 21st of this year, about National Security,

“my single most important responsibility as President is to keep the American people safe. It’s the first thing that I think about when I wake up in the morning. It’s the last thing that I think about when I go to sleep at night.”

If that were really true Obama would not be bowing to foreign leaders, removing missile defenses in Poland, dithering on a war strategy in Afghanistan and apologising for America’s freedom.

President Obama, cannot stop apologizing for America. What is wrong with him. Within hours of arriving in Tokyo, along side Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, Obama said he would like to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the targets of American atomic bombs in 1945. This is because he questions the judgment of President Harry Truman, who made the decision to drop the bombs. Obama came close to apologising for America, ending the war and actually saving lives.

In Shanghai, Obama held a ‘town hall’ before a stiff as boards college crowd. I counted at least four apologies for the United States.

• When he referred to child labor abuses in Asia, he indicated that this occurred in America too.
• Then went on to apologise for how women are treated in the United States.
• Obama talked about the use of bombs — an obtuse reference to the ‘mistake’ of the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan.
• Obama also apologized for the United States Military!

What do you expect from a man who was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis who was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party USA and by twenty years of hate speech by Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Of course Barack Obama hates the United States and the military.

There are no coincidences when it comes to the Obama administration’s policies. This president is determined to dial the country back from the 9/11 mindset and wipe the word terrorism from our language. This is not just a reversal of policy but a political strategy to make sure that any terrorist attack during Obama’s term, can be explained away as merely a crime of violence in the most politically correct terms.

Throughout Obama’s long presidential campaign he often told his audiences that he would close Guantanamo Bay and ban torture. In his inaugural address he said, “To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society’s ills on the West – know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy,”

Fives days after Obama took the oath of office he participated in an interview with Al-Arabiya Arab TV Network saying, “the language we use matters. And what we need to understand is, is that there are extremist organizations — whether Muslim or any other faith in the past — that will use faith as a justification for violence. We cannot paint with a broad brush a faith as a consequence of the violence that is done in that faith’s name.”

In April, while visiting Turkey he said, “Let me say this as clearly as I can. The United States is not and never will be at war with Islam. In fact, our partnership with the Muslim world is critical… in rolling back a fringe ideology that people of all faiths reject.”

From Cairo in June, Obama said, “I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”

Last March in an interview with Der Spiegel, Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security Secretary said, “In my speech, although I did not use the word “terrorism,” I referred to “man-caused” disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.”

On November 5th, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S. soldier and a Muslim yelled “Allah Akbar!” in a terrorist attack, as he murdered 14 people (13 adults and 1 unborn fetus) as well as wounding another 30 more in Fort Hood, Texas. Despite all the facts known prior to Hasan’s attack, President Obama told the nation, “We don’t know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts.”

Later Obama minimized this act of war to, “the tragedy that took place at Ft. Hood”. At the memorial service he said, “It may be hard to comprehend the twisted logic that led to this tragedy. But this much we do know – no faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor. And for what he has done, we know that the killer will be met with justice – in this world, and the next.”

The word terrorism will not be spoken by the nation’s President and Commander-in-Chief, while we fight two wars to stop that very thing.

Today, to put the exclamation point on Obama’s denial of Islamo-terrorism, Attorney General Eric holder announced that the accused 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay prisoners, Waleed bin Attash, Ramzi Binalshibh, Mustafa Ahmad al-Hawsawi and Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali will be brought to trial in a civilian federal courthouse in Manhattan, just blocks from site of the most horrific terror attack in U.S. history, that killed 2,970 people.

The “War on Terror” was now reduced to a criminal proceeding, announced by the soft on terror Attorney General himself, instead of a speech by the President of the United States, who was conveniently away on his trip to Asia.

These federal trials will be another circus, just like the Zacarias Moussaoui proceedings that took four and a half years. KSM and the other four Al Qaeda terrorists will use the opportunity to further their hatred, rant and rave and insult the very souls of those who perished.

Obama wants to give these ruthless American-hating monsters Constitutional rights, normally reserved for U.S. citizens, instead of Military Tribunals that Presidents Abraham Lincoln, FDR and George W. Bush have done before to war criminals.

President Obama has thrown national security under the bus to follow his leftist agenda and use this decision to fault the Bush administration while feeding propaganda and fueling the very terrorists that we have sought to destroy for eight years.

The administration’s actions are disgraceful.

The irony was stunning as Nancy Pelosi proudly said “The bill is passed” and hammered down her huge gavel in the House chamber. The 1990 page, “Affordable, Quality Health Care For All Americans Bill”- H.R. 3962, barely read by the 435 Congressman, rammed through on a Saturday night, was only a symbolic political gesture.

Folks, this is what we have elected in 2006 and 2008 — an elitist bunch of wealthy robber barons who care nothing about the United States of America and serve only for the purposes of phony agendas and re-election.

We are ten months into Barack Obama’s presidency where we have been pressured to believe that if this massive government-run health care bill is not passed immediately, people will die and the United States will end as we know it. This is a great big lie.

If a nationalized health care system is so important to the nation, then why will it only begin in 2013? That’s because it will cost us a fortune and be a bureaucratic mess. The Democrats do not want us to see how badly it works until after the mid-term elections in 2010 and the possible re-election of “our dear leader” in 2012.

The victory dance of the Democrats and the left will be short-lived as the bill’s journey in the Senate will face huge resistance and delays. It will probably not be up for a final vote until early in 2010 and if it is passed not reach the President’s desk until that spring at the earliest.

In 2005, Nancy Pelosi railed against the Republican majority that it was “an outrage” to not have 3 days to read a bill, “Members can’t even see what they’re voting on”. Now as House Speaker, Pelosi thumbs her nose at us and does the same thing.

Here are some of the hidden details in the House bill as explained by Betsy McCaughey in the Wall Street Journal:

On Nov. 2, the Congressional Budget Office estimated what the plans will likely cost. An individual earning $44,000 before taxes who purchases his own insurance will have to pay a $5,300 premium and an estimated $2,000 in out-of-pocket expenses, for a total of $7,300 a year, which is 17% of his pre-tax income. A family earning $102,100 a year before taxes will have to pay a $15,000 premium plus an estimated $5,300 out-of-pocket, for a $20,300 total, or 20% of its pre-tax income. Individuals and families earning less than these amounts will be eligible for subsidies paid directly to their insurer.

• Sec. 202 (p. 91-92) of the bill requires you to enroll in a “qualified plan.” If you get your insurance at work, your employer will have a “grace period” to switch you to a “qualified plan,” meaning a plan designed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. If you buy your own insurance, there’s no grace period. You’ll have to enroll in a qualified plan as soon as any term in your contract changes, such as the co-pay, deductible or benefit.

• Sec. 224 (p. 118) provides that 18 months after the bill becomes law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services will decide what a “qualified plan” covers and how much you’ll be legally required to pay for it. That’s like a banker telling you to sign the loan agreement now, then filling in the interest rate and repayment terms 18 months later.

The CBO estimates that this crap sandwich will cost us $1.055 trillion over the next decade as our current debt is already up to $12 trillion. You can watch our debt grow in real time at US Debt Clock.org

Meanwhile the Obama/Democrat agenda has been a big fail. Unemployment has reached 10.2%, there is still no decision on troop levels in Afghanistan. Obama is still waffling on Iran, Pakistan, North Korea and Palestine. Now he is trying to be politically correct as he deflects calling the Fort Hood massacre by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a terrorist attack by a Muslim fanatic.

Thirty years ago on November 4th, 1979, fifty-three Americans were taken hostage in Iran and held for 444 days until Ronald Reagan took office. Twenty years ago this very day, the Berlin Wall came down.

We have a weakling for a President, who can only preen for the camera and apologise for the America he hates so much.

Ronald Reagan said,

“Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today’s world do not have.”
