On the eve of President Obama’s trip to Moscow and talks with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev and the real power broker, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, The New York Times published a three column front page puff piece entitled, “Obama’s Youthful Ideals Shaped the Long Arc of His Nuclear-Free Vision”.

According to the article, Obama’s quest to rid the world of nuclear weapons began in 1983, while he was a student at Columbia University. Obama wrote in the campus newsmagazine, Sundial, about the vision of “a nuclear free world.” He railed against discussions of “first- versus second-strike capabilities” that “suit the military-industrial interests” with their “billion-dollar erector sets,” and agitated for the elimination of global arsenals holding tens of thousands of deadly warheads.

The Times says, Mr. Obama’s journalistic voice was edgy with disdain for what he called “the relentless, often silent spread of militarism in the country” amid “the growing threat of war.” The two groups, he wrote, “visualizing the possibilities of destruction and grasping the tendencies of distorted national priorities, are throwing their weight into shifting America off the dead-end track.”

Obama, has not lost that Kumbaya, naive sentiment, “Twenty-six years later, the author, in his new job as president of the United States, has begun pushing for new global rules, treaties and alliances that he insists can establish a nuclear-free world.”

On June 30th, Senator John Kyl and Richard Perle wrote an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal, “Our Decaying Nuclear Deterrent”. They criticized Obama’s wishful policy.

“This is dangerous, wishful thinking. If we were to approach zero nuclear weapons today, others would almost certainly try even harder to catapult to superpower status by acquiring a bomb or two. A robust American nuclear force is an essential discouragement to nuclear proliferators; a weak or uncertain force just the opposite.

There is a fashionable notion that if only we and the Russians reduced our nuclear forces, other nations would reduce their existing arsenals or abandon plans to acquire nuclear weapons altogether. This idea, an article of faith of the “soft power” approach to halting nuclear proliferation, assumes that the nuclear ambitions of Kim Jong Il or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would be curtailed or abandoned in response to reductions in the American and Russian deterrent forces — or that India, Pakistan or China would respond with reductions of their own.”

Obama’s 1983 article was written during the Reagan presidency. President Reagan had a completely opposite view of Barack Obama. That very year, Reagan pushed for SDI (Strategic Defense Ini­tiative) a system of anti-missiles designed to shoot down any incoming missile threats. Obama is already rolling back our nation’s nuclear defense. In January, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, called for financing a new generation of longer-lasting and more dependable nuclear arms.
He was immediately overruled. Mr. Obama’s first budget declared that “development work on the Reliable Replacement Warhead will cease.”

President Reagan argued for Peace through Strength, but Obama wants Peace through Appeasement. It just doesn’t add up in this world of rogue nuclear armed nations led by tin-pot dictators and Islamo-Fascist crazies.

These real threats will not stop the Obama Apology Tour and his desire to make the United States a secondary power both economically and militarily.

Just look at the stark contrast between Reagan and Obama in this political campaign ad from 1980.

Happy Independence Day! Thank you Sarah Palin for pushing Obama, Sharpton, Sanford and Michael Jackson off of cable news for at least 48 hours.

Sarah Palin, who is still the Governor of Alaska, used the slowest news day of the year to announce her resignation and declare her independence from all the hateful, demeaning, sexist, lying liberal bloggers and main stream media whores.

You should have seen the shock on all the pundits on CNN as they spent several hours on Palin’s decision. They analyzed away, suggesting, a soon to be announced scandal, or a run for President in 2012, or her being tired of all the nastiness. Some praised her, others ridiculed her for not finishing the job. The headline here was not Palin but speculation.

Analysts doing what they do best — nothing, just opening their mouths and spewing more crap. The news spun The Daily Kos and The Huffington Post into more hate and lies.

Palin began her speech by listing all the good things she has done for Alaska and then said,

“But you don’t hear much of the good stuff in the press anymore, do you?
Some say things changed for me on August 29th last year – the day John McCain tapped me to be his running-mate – I say others changed.
Let me speak to that for a minute.
Political operatives descended on Alaska last August, digging for dirt. The ethics law I championed became their weapon of choice. Over the past nine months I’ve been accused of all sorts of frivolous ethics violations – such as holding a fish in a photograph, wearing a jacket with a logo on it, and answering reporters’ questions.”

I saw her speech and understood that Sarah Palin was not going to take it anymore. The fight has just begun. The left still hates this attractive, successful, powerful Republican. They hate the fact this woman dares to speak out against all their hypocrisy and phoniness.

“If I have learned one thing: LIFE is about choices!
And one chooses how to react to circumstances. You can choose to engage in things that tear down, or build up. I choose to work very hard on a path for fruitfulness and productivity. I choose NOT to tear down and waste precious time; but to build UP this state and our country, and her industrious, generous, patriotic, free people!

Life is too short to compromise time and resources… it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: “Sit down and shut up”, but that’s the worthless, easy path; that’s a quitter’s way out. Through out last year’s election I warned you that Barack Obama as President would be a “Jimmy Carter Redux”. My warnings have sadly come true as we witness Obama’s response to the election in Iran, the street demonstrations and now the Iranian government’s brutal crackdown.

What happens when you excercise free speech in Iran

On the day that Iranians were going to the polls, Obama said, “We are excited to see what appears to be a robust debate taking place in Iran,” The problem is that there was no debate in this most repressive middle eastern nation. The President’s naivete on Iran is shocking.

Each day the White House doles out a strictly measured but stronger Presidential response to the rising Iranian rebellion and violence. Without a doubt every single syllable Obama says is carefully scripted by his handlers of Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod.

Obama can’t fart without their permission – this man is a joke and the worst actor one could elect to the most powerful office in the world.

I know, because for the last 39 years I have worked around thousands of actors; bad, good and great. Without a script Obama is useless and without his trusty teleprompter to read his script; he’s almost as stupid as Joe Biden.

While the Internet was churning out citizen journalist’s eye witness photos and video of the brutal and deadly response of the police and militias, Obama released a token written statement, “We call on the Iranian government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people, The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights.”

This is the kind of crap we hear from the U.N., not the President of the United States. Where are Obama’s balls! Instead, he is doing his usual middle of the road soft (as in impotent) diplomacy. He is unable to take a stand defending America’s interests, but coddles every dictator and terrorist regime so as not to offend them. Obama is a disgrace. No wonder they call him “President Pantywaist” in England.

While Iranian demonstrators were being murdered in broad daylight, Obama took his family out for soft ice cream! Nothing like a cuddly photo op to boost his popularity and skip out on being the leader he was elected to be.

This coming November 4th, will mark a full year from Obama’s election and the 30th anniversary of the Iranian Hostage crisis. That day in 1979, 52 Americans were taken hostage and held for 444 days and Jimmy Carter failed as our President.

I believe that Obama’s appeasement policy towards Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Palestinians will result in the same failure as Jimmy Carter.

Obama only cares about his image and really doesn’t give a shit about you or I or the Iranian people. Very much like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Two peas in a pod.

Mayor Villar, formerly known as Villaraigosa – the created name of his and his now ex-wife,  can’t seem to keep his name out of the news. Villar has once again hooked up with a local Los Angeles television Newscaster.

The Los Angeles Times says he is dating Lu Parker of KTLA Channel 5 since March. It was only two years ago that Villaraigosa’s affair with Telemundo KVEA-TV Channel 52 reporter and anchor Mirthala Salinas created a firestorm of publicity that tainted his first term in office.

Villar then divorced his wife, but kept her name.

I won’t waste much on this scumbag of a Mayor, who is a Democrat and only works for the taxpayers of Los Angeles, 11% of the time. The rest of it is spent travelling to fundraisers, mostly out of the state of California.

Tony Villar’s run for Governor of California is finished — now if only the Feds can pin corruption charges on him, then maybe we can be rid of him and put him in jail, where he really belongs.

I heard it first, before I felt it. A low, growing rumble, like a truck bearing down on you and then the floor begins to shake. In the West Hollywood/Hollywood area it was not strong.

I am linked via email to the USGS and within seconds I saw that it had a preliminary magnitude of 4.7, centered 1 mile SSE of Inglewood. First upgraded to a 5.0, then down graded back to 4.7.  That’s not a great earthquake, but sizable enough for one to consider that this is a fore-shock to a greater event.

I immediately put on my hard soled shoes, grabbed my cell phone, wallet, cash and keys — just in case.

Now I’m glued to the radio and television hearing all the reports. Looks like no major damage or injuries.

Sooner than later Los Angeles will have the “Big One”, this city and state is really not fully prepared for a major disaster. Everyone will have to be prepared and on their own for possibly three days.

One consolation, no one can blame Bush or Cheney when it does hit.

President Obama must truly believe he is the Messiah, because only a man blinded by his own self love could have the audacity to make a speech before a venerable Catholic institution like Notre Dame.

Chutzpa  is a Hebrew word and is used indignantly, to describe someone who has over-stepped the boundaries of accepted behavior with no shame. Obama wants to transform American society to his belief structure — no matter how wrong it is.

Obama reacts to Father John Jenkins view on abortion

Just two months ago the same President Obama, rescinded a Bush administration moral conscience regulation which enforces legal protections against discrimination and intimidation for doctors and other healthcare professionals who invoke conscience by refusing to participate in medical procedures they believe immoral.

Once again Obama reads from a teleprompter and lulls a crowd into believing all his hype, miscreants and pandering.

Obama will not even entertain the “possibility of common ground” on abortion or infanticide, on terrorism, on global warming,  oil exploration, socialized medicine, cap and trade, illegal immigration or U.S. foreign policy.

He plans to re-shape it all in his own image, believing, falsely that his popularity means Americans like all his policies. Wrong and very fat headed thinking.

A Gallup Poll from earlier this month says 51 percent of Americans call themselves “pro-life” and 42 percent “pro-choice.” Adds Gallup: “This is the first time a majority of U.S. adults have identified themselves as pro-life since Gallup began asking this question in 1995.” Just a year ago, only 44 percent were pro-life and 50 percent were pro-choice.

Obama was in hostile territory and ironically he will be better received on June 4th, when he makes his second speech from a Muslim country, visiting Egypt. Rumours say Obama will make his next apology speech in Cairo’s 1,000-year-old Al-Azhar mosque.

The Al-Azhar mosque holds a special place in Egypt’s more recent political history as well, a symbol of resistance against Western imperialism. Nationalists launched marches and protests from the mosque during a 1919 revolt against British rule. In 1956, then-President Gamal Abdel Nasser gave a famed speech from Al-Azhar’s pulpit rallying Egyptians against an invasion by Britain, France and Israel.

I’ll bet that Obama and his 12 teleprompters will make the speech there to further mollify and grovel to the Islamic world, apologising for America’s freedom and system of Democracy.

The old and new media is spending lots of column inches and television hours trying to prognosticate whom President Barack Obama will pick as his Supreme Court nominee to replace, retiring  Justice David H. Souter.

Most are trying to paint Obama as an amazing, thoughtful pragmatist who is really a centrist at heart. Don’t believe it. Nothing in Obama’s first 100 + days in office, or his entire and very brief political career has shown him to be anything but a Lefty.

You only have to look at his cabinet picks to see where he really stands. First and fore most – you can be a tax cheat and serve in Obama’s cabinet!

Attorney General Eric Holder: is pushing for an investigation of alleged torture under the Bush administration to include the officials who approved the interrogation techniques and the members of Congress who knew about them.  This is the same Eric Holder who under President Clinton pushed for clemency of 16 terrorist members of two violent Puerto Rican nationalist organizations in 1999.

Kathleen Sebelius, former Govenor of Kansas is the new Secretary of Health and Human Services. She is strongly in favor of late term abortions. This jives with Obama’s stance on the issue. As a state Senator in Illinois he supported legislation on infanticide.

Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis: is strongly in the union camp and has a murky view on illegal immigration.

Secretary of Energy Steven Chu: is a global warming alarmist and has no love for the oil or nuclear energy industries.

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano: has a checkered record on illegal immigration and border enforcement. She is weak on terrorism and strong on gaffes.

Here is what Obama thinks is the criteria for a Supreme Court Justice: “We need [judges] who’ve got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it’s like to be a young teenage mom.  The empathy to understand what it’s like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old.  And that’s the criteria by which I’m going to be selecting my judges.”

Ed Kaitz in a post at “American Thinker” says, “What all of this suggests, however, is that in addition to Obama’s severely myopic understanding of the American legal tradition, the current president once again is demonstrating his breathtaking arrogance with respect to the Constitution.  Nowhere in the Constitution does it state that a judge should favor the poor over the rich — or the weak over the strong.  This kind of social justice ideology is simply pure, unadulterated Marxism from the former professor of constitutional law.

Digging deeper into Obama’s “vision for what America should be” reveals a disturbing penchant for automatically anointing America’s “underdogs.”  This rather naïve and chilling vision of social justice is just another example of our president’s alarming and self-conscious neglect of the wisdom of history.  It is also another sign of Mr. Obama’s pathological narcissism.  Lenin and Mao were once underdogs too.”

“To automatically assume that the poor, the African-American, the gay, the old, or the Palestinians for that matter, have some superior claim on America’s moral capital simply because they are the “underdogs” is to demonstrate a tragic misunderstanding of what constitutes justice, virtue, or community solidarity.”

Expect Obama to nominate a jurist who has a history of legislating from the bench and not respecting the Constitution. Kind of very similar to the left wing bent of Barack Obama.

The Apologist-In-Chief, who tries to control every aspect of his Presidency, can’t even control  the speed of his own teleprompter. The self anointed one is held to prepared remarks only – the sky will fall if he dares to say anything off the cuff. Such is the sad fact of this media created President.

So it is understandable that the media is “celebrating” his first 100 days. President Barack Obama will hold a press conference on Wednesday night, reading another speech off his teleprompter, extolling all he has done since inaugurated and of course blaming Bush for all that’s wrong.

I look at this as 100 days of shame and failure. Obama has spent more than all the Presidents combined, from Washington to Bush. The deficit will be almost 2 trillion dollars by the end of 2009.

Obama has completely surrendered to his left base. All of his legislation is to please them; from the denial of terrorism, to the banning of “torture” and the end of oil exploration. Tax the rich and spread the wealth to the tax-less. The repudiation of corporations as evil and his class warfare are all out of the FDR playbook.

Obama is a shallow, weak, selfish man who cares only about power, himself and another four years. He got elected on image only. If you shine a light on him you can see right through him.

The next 100 days will be worse than the last – let’s get a real leader as President in 2012.

Who is a bigger media whore; Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, or our Apologist-in-Chief, Barack Obama?

It’s not even a contest as the slobbering media and most of the world have crowned Obama their fave. It’s no wonder that at the recent G20 meeting in London and the Fifth Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday, that world leaders are crawling over each other to shake his hand and garner a photo-op. They all hope his electoral luck will rub off on them.

Obama’s popularity however, has not translated into a coherent Foreign Policy plan. What Hillary Cilnton has dubbed “Smart Power” – has been anything but smart, powerful or even professional.

Obama’s world wide apology tour now includes Mexico, Cuba, and all of Central and South America.

In his opening remarks he said, “There is no senior partner and junior partner in our relations; there is simply engagement based on mutual respect and common interests and shared values. So I’m here to launch a new chapter of engagement that will be sustained throughout my administration.”

Which led to this at his closing press conference, “The whole notion was that if we showed courtesy or opened up dialogue with governments that had previously been hostile to us, that that somehow would be a sign of weakness,”

Courtesy and dialogue and respectful engagement is one thing, but Obama needs to defend America’s interests first, instead of apologising to the rest of the world.

So far he is batting zero. The G20 refused his request for more money, NATO turned down combat troops for Afghanistan, Russia snubbed cooperation on Iran, and North Korea fired off it’s missle-test over the Sea of Japan.

Instead of a strong American response, Obama let the United Nations put out one of their standard condemnations a full eight days after the missile firing.

Obama is trying to appease the Muslim world – in the errant belief that submission and apologies will suddenly stop Islamo-Terrorism. They have even changed the vocabulary – how stupid is that.

Buried in a supplemental request of $83.4 billion to further fund military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan is $200 million for the Palestinian Authority — meaning Hamas. Read this post from Mere Rhetoric.

Then there is even a more disturbing report about President Obama’s Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, who has stated that the only solution to the conflict is the two-state solution, which he presented with no strings attached.

The Arab plan actually is a prescription for the end of Israel as a Jewish state because it’s predicated on a “right of return” for millions of Palestinian refugees and their descendants to flood back into Israel.  Drafted on a take-it-or-leave-it basis, it also would put under Palestinian rule all of Judaism’s most sacred sites in the Holy Land — Temple Mount where stood the First and Second Temples, the Western Wall, the Cave of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs — every vestige of Jewish historical links in Jerusalem’s Old City and Hebron.  Safeguarding these holy sites would be entrusted to the same Palestinians who have used Rachel’s Tomb near Bethlehem for snipers’ target practice and who destroyed Joseph’s Tomb near Nablus.

“A more benign explanation is that Obama, when it comes to the Middle East, has created his own never-never land and blinds himself to any and all realities that don’t fit his pure, peacemaking instincts.  Obama simply ignores hard, nitty-gritty boulders on his happy-talk gambol on the yellow-brick road to a Mideast Oz.” American Thinker has the full story.

French President, Nikolas Sarkozy called Obama a “weak, inexperienced” leader who “never ran a ministry in his life” before becoming U.S. President.

The world and the Unites States voters are just finding out that they’ve elected an empty suit who’s every move is choreographed by David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel and every word is carefully scripted so it can be read off a teleprompter.

I can’t wait for elections in 2010 and 2012.

Our Apologist-in-Chief is barn storming Europe bowing and scraping before the world’s leaders. How in hell could this country elect such a disgrace and embarrassment to the Presidency of the United States?

In statement after statement and speech after speech, Obama can only say “Sorry”. Sorry for what? We liberated Europe and sacrificed thousands of our bravest men and woman in doing it. We have spent billions of dollars to rebuild these nations and still have thousands of soldiers and equipment on their soil, ready to defend them again.

Our nation is the first to be there in a disaster and our Army, Navy and Air Force defends the entire planet. Our way of life, prosperity and freedom is the envy of the world.

But not to Barack Obama. President Obama is waving the white flag as he sends a taped message to Iran, a letter to Russia, high level talks with Syria and billions to Hamas. He is rushing to pull America back from being a world leader to a banana republic.

The “War on Terror” is now called “Overseas Contingency Operations” and the word “Terrorist” is now changed to “Man Created Disaster”. Not only is this dangerous but it is an attempt to pretend that all of the terror inflicted on Americans over the last 40 years has been a mirage.

While Kim Jong Il threatens to launch a long range missile from North Korea all Obama will do is register a firm protest with the United Nations!  Instead of destroying the Taliban and freeing everyone in Afghanistan he wants to have a dialogue with their “moderate” factions — who don’t exist? Today, while in France, Obama apologized for liberating Iraq. “We got sidetracked by Iraq and we have not fully recovered that initial insight that we have a mutual interest in ensuring that organizations like al-Qaida cannot operate,”

Obama wants to turn the U.S.A. into a copy of a Socialist Democrat country in Europe. Obama’s budget has the largest spending of all the President’s combined. Our deficit will immediately zoom to 1.85 trillion, four times what it was in 2008! He wants to Nationalize Healthcare and bring in Cap and Trade.

Obama selfishly touts a one world order as he turns his gaze to Europe and steps all over the Constitution and the citizens of this great land. Watch out America, Obama is a great danger to the future success of this nation as well as our freedom.
