My family invested in American businesses--we did nothing but contribute to the American economy. Every year we applied for a green card. Never got one. So eventually we all moved back to Europe. Considering how difficult it is to become a citizen, I wouldn't pass such harsh judgment on those who stay even without legal permission, especially when they're doing jobs that most Americans won't do.
